My Favorite Song is Very Special
WOW, seems like the Ultimate Blog Challenge just started and now I’m half way through the month. There are two suggested topics for today, one is a favorite song and the other is a motto you live by. Since I couldn’t decide one just one, I’m sharing both.
I have a few favorite songs but my all time favorite is the song that was played at hubby’s and my wedding 50 years ago. I have also enjoyed hearing Ave Maria and when Luciano Pavarotti sang it, his voice would echo the entire room.
As for the motto I live by, when I haven’t try something, whether it be a home project or a new style treatment at work, I always have the need to at least try it to see if I can accomplish it. There is no “I can’t do that” in my vocabulary at least until I give it a try. Once I work on the project and find a solution, I say, “I can do that”. So my motto is very fitting for me.
“If you want to explore deeper oceans, you first have to leave sight of the shore.”
Do you have a favorite song or motto? If so, post in the comments, I’ll love to hear your song!
That is a beautiful song and a great reason it is so special to you. As for your motto I love it and try and instill it into David and Charlie. As I think we should try everything before we decide we can’t do something or that we don’t like something. Especially when it comes to food.
I am forever humming my song and especially now! That has always been my motto and when I started my blog, I thought it was perfect to go with my header photo. Thanks for visiting Glenda.
My favorite song is “What ya give” by Tesla.
I’m not familiar with that song Sandy, heading to YouTube to listen to it! Thanks for stopping by.
Hi, Martha. Funny thing is I chose to do both as well. For me, they go hand in hand. My favorite song is The Sunshine of Your Smile by Michael Card and my favorite saying is Love at all times. Both have deep heart reasons.
You are so beautiful – love that wedding photo. So brilliantly happy.

Both are perfect Sara! Our love has lasted because we love at all times. Our special love is our 21 year old granddaughter who is more like a daughter. She went through major lung and spinal cord surgery last year and we were with her through every surgeon visit, scans and tests and lived at the hospital so we wouldn’t be away from her side.We made many 900 mile trips to Ohio but all were will worth it. Without love, we would not have been able to get through. She is our life! I look at our wedding photo and think, wow, we were young! LOL
Probably my favourite saying is “If you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re probably right”. I’ve always taken it to mean that whatever you think about yourself is the means to your success. If you think positive then you will reach your goals. If you don’t then you won’t.
I love that Patricia! So many people have a negative attitude about everything. I like to think that my glass is always full. I remember when I asked my then 7 year old granddaughter if the glass I showed her was half full or half empty. She looked at it, thought, looked again and said, “Mama, if you put a few more drops in the glass, it will be half full.” She could have easily said to take a few drops away and it will be half empty. I will never forget that day and even now at 21, being on her own since 16, she walks down the path and stays positive. Thanks for stopping by!
