Fall Weather
FALL WEATHER
This is a short poem I wrote after my hubby brought me in the few leaves that had started to change color. It’s about the changes coming with the fall weather approaching.
The weather has changed,
The temperature dropped.
The fireplace is ready,
The wood is all chopped.
The leaves once were green,
They’re now a bright shade.
Go view them now,
Soon they’ll all fade.
A trip to the farm,
For pumpkins and squash.
Don’t forget apples,
Oh my gosh!
So pull out your sweater,
When the temperature drops.
And one more thing,
Don’t forget to set back your clock!
Oh yes, the time change next weekend. Such a beautiful time of year (especially with our unusual warmth this year) and it’s almost over. Sigh…..
I wish they would give up on the time change. It seems like we just get all our clocks changed and it’s time to do it again! But yes, the weather this year has been super warm, wonder what that means for winter. Thanks for stopping by Alana.
Martha, thanks for the charming poem and lovely photos. In Phoenix, Fall has not yet fallen and may not for weeks. I miss the Fall colors from back East.
We don’t have much in South Carolina Kebba, 3 leaves for now! LOL I too miss the fall colors, apple picking and cider donuts from when we lived in upstate New York! thanks for stopping by.
Love the poem, it’s so cute!! But man, I hate changing the time. I wish we could have daylight savings all year round.
Thanks Jeanine, I like coming up with poems to go with my pictures. I agree with you about having daylight savings time year round!
Doesn’t the time change in November? Or am I confused. I’m with you about the time change. Takes my body too long to adjust. Your apple store reminds me so much of our own Jack Creek Farm store in Templeton. I don’t get there very often since we moved. Cute poem!
Your not confused Barbara, time change is next week but it was the only thing that rhymed with my poem and it is a fall thing! The apple store in the picture is one in upstate New York were we went last month, it was our favorite go to place when we lived there.
