Ending the Challenge with a Party
Wow, today is my last Friday Story Time by Lia for the April Ultimate Blog Challenge! I’ve had so much fun writting my stories and even more fun having Ma read the comments to me. So I’m ending the challenge with a party! But not just any party, it’s a birthday party for my friend Judy.
You may remember me writing about our neighbor Judy and her son Andrew recently. Judy is so fun, she lives next door to us and I ride my bike or drive my car over to visit and share the things I bake. Judy comes to visit me and brings little surprises. I love when she stays and plays in my Princess playroom. But today the surprise is for Judy. Today is her birthday and Ma and I planned a birthday party for her! I know she will be SOOOO surprised! Andrew has to work but I told him we would save him some cake.
Speaking of cake, I helped Ma make a chocolate mayonnaise cake using her grandmother’s recipe. We also make vanilla ice cream and had fresh strawberries!
Judy loves flowers so Ma asked if she wanted to stop over and see the new flowers in my garden. Of course she jumped at the idea. While she was looking at my garden, I showed her the cauliflower that Ma planted last year from the end of a cauliflower and now it has flowers on it! Then I walked her over to see my blueberry bush but that’s where the surprise began.
When mommy came outside the first thing she said was Happy Birthday to Judy. Ma looked totally shocked and told Judy she forgot it was her birthday! But she really didn’t, that was just another part of the surprise.
We had her party set up in our outdoor screen room and when Judy saw the decorations and cake, she squealed! I helped her open her cards and gift and I even gave her a birthday crown!
These are the birthday cards I made for Judy. She found her name right away! I designed a birthday balloon for her too. I covered it will designs and funny faces. But my favorite design is the strawberry heart I made!
Judy love the chocolate cake, the vanilla ice cream and the delicious strawberries that I picked yesterday! After the party was over, I showed Judy my Easter baskets still filled with all kinds of goodies.
The party was so much fun and I liked seeing Judy so surprised! I wish Andrew didn’t have to work, he would have loved to see his mom having so much fun. But we made him a goodie box with cake, strawberries and some ice cream. I ike surprising people but this time it was a super surprise for Judy!
Now that I’m ending the challenge with a party, I hope you had a a good challenge and can have a party too! I’ll be writing my Friday Story Time my Lia every week and hope you can stop by from time to time to keep up with what I’m doing. Thank you for all the visits, comments and shares you gave me and I’m looking forward to seeing you at the July Ultimate Blog Challenge!!
