Determination

Today is day 30 of the January Ultimate Blog Challenge. For those in this challenge, you only have one more day to go! Today’s suggested topic is what do you do to help stay motivated and boost your determination.

For me it’s fairly simple, #1 I love a challenge, #2 once I start a challenge of any kind, I have a positive attitude that I WILL COMPLETE IT and #3 if I seem to come at a dead end with a blog topic, I have a few tricks up my sleeve! For those that get stuck on a topic, these are some of the ways I come up with topics.

Of course I always love sharing my healthy eating meals and since we eat everyday, I can come up with a great meal plan. The other favorite topic I enjoy writing about is my family. Some of these blogs have helpful information about health, daily happens and of course others are just photos that put a smile on my readers faces.

There are a few other easy way to get a blog topic. I can look outside and see a bird or a flower and they bring back a memory so I share that. Just now I’m looking outside while writing my blog and I see a beautiful cardinal sitting on the fence. If I was needing a blog topic, I would write about how when seeing a cardinal it means I loved one is thinking of you. My mom loved cardinals and every time I see one I look up to heaven and smile. I know my mom is looking back and doing the same.

Another idea I use is going through my photos I’ve recently taken. Find a photo and you have a story. Again for me, this is a super easy way to come up with a topic, I have tons of pictures of my great granddaughter, lots of beautiful roses, my dinners I’ve prepared and even new Minky blankets that I’ve created. Each photo can be turned into a blog, whether it be about the actual photo or an idea that comes to you to write a short story.

I have written poems, short fictional stories about something in the photo and even helpful blogs using photos. This is a poem I wrote and added one of my pictures I had taken. http://themarthareview.com/bright-days-ahead/

So have determination when doing the next Ultimate Blog Challenge when you are at a standstill with a blog topic, look out your window or scroll through your phone. you may just have your topic right there! You need DETERMINATION so TERMINATION doesn’t get in the way of your challenge. See you in April for the next Ultimate Blog Challenge!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

  1. Those are all great ways to get ideas for topics! I hope to be back in April, too.

Coming up with ideas isn’t my problem, like you say they are everywhere, however I sometimes overthink an idea and by the time I write it three times it’s no longer relevant. This time technical issues and stock shows slowed me somewhat. Although I won’t get the entire 31 posts this month, Like Paul says (I think) just participating improves both my writing and posting. I’m closer than I’ve ever been, and the regular posting will carry over and keep the blog going next month. Looking forward to April, I have some ideas to actual finish with 30 posts then.

Congrats on getting as far as you did Nita and yes I agree with Paul also. You had some exciting times at the stock shows, how fun! For now, we’ll blog on until the April challenge!
