Delicious “Nice” Cream
Hi, it’s Friday Story Time by Lia again and Ma’s and my blogger friend posted a blog with a challenge for me to make this delicious “Nice” Cream! Chef William Your Whole Foods Longevity Chef I accepts your challenge and here is my blog with the results!
This is Chef William’s blog post with his recipe where he challenged me to make some “Nice” Cream so let the challenge begin!! https://yourwholefoodschef.com/pecan-and-cherry-nice-cream
First I have to tell you when ma and I bake it’s sometimes spur of the moment and we don’t have all the ingredients but we always come up with something to make it work. This was one of those recipes.
Chef William’s recipe main ingredients were bananas and cherries but since we didn’t have cherries we substituted frozen strawberries. It was extra special because I picked the strawberries myself! Here’s my strawberry picking blog if you missed it! http://themarthareview.com/i-went-strawberry-picking/ The other change was ma didn’t read the recipe instructions before we started making our “Nice” Cream and the bananas were suppose to be frozen. Since we had all the ingredients ready to go I broke up the banana in pieces and froze them for about 15 minutes. Obviously they weren’t frozen but they did get a bit firmer. Next time I’ll make sure ma pays attention to detail! LOL
Videos and step by step photos of my delicious “Nice” Cream
The ingredients for my delicious “nice” cream are bananas, milk, honey, pure vanilla, chopped strawberries, and chopped pecans.
I got the bananas ready for the freezer by breaking them in pieces after I peeled them.
After about 15 minutes I took the bananas out of the freezer even though they weren’t totally frozen but I was going away for the weekend and wanted to get my challenge completed. I added the bananas, milk, honey and vanilla to the blender and blended until all smooth.
Next I poured the mixture into a bowl and stirred in the chopped frozen strawberries. I added the “nice cream” in individual serving dishes to get ready for the freezer.

So what do you think of my delicious “nice cream” and my challenge I accepted from Chef William? After I finished making the delicious “nice cream” recipe ma and I came up with a few ideas to make this again making even more substitutions, one will be adding whipping cream as Chef William suggested.
