Delicious Leftovers

I’m still not food shopping until I get both freezers cleaned out, it’s been over a year since I’ve stocked up. Today I final organized the inside bottom freezer and I have one bin that is almost empty! YAY I can probably have the other one empty by next week. Part of the reason why it’s taken so long is because of my wonderful neighbors who keep bringing me dinner and there is usually enough leftovers for one or two more meals! Yesterday I had delicious leftovers from Sunday’s dinner.

My neighbor brought over two large pieces of grilled steak, baked beans and broccoli and since Judy was over I had enough for her also. But I still had some steak leftover.
So yesterday I made one of my delicious leftover meals plus I was able to get two more bags emptied from the freezer.

I cut the steak in small strips and marinated it in Worcestershire sauce while I sauteed some onions in butter. Next I added the steak and some cut up steamed cauliflower to the pan and stirred it all together to heat them up. I also had the end of a bag of shrimp so I thought that would be good to add to the pan plus make a little more room in the freezer.

My leftover meal was delicious and filling!
Chocolate Spoons

Have you seen chocolate spoons? When my daughter went to New York last month, she visited a candy shop our friends owned years ago. They make most all their own chocolate candies and even had chocolate spoons! Chris brought me eight packages with six delicious dark chocolate spoons in each package!

When I was on my yogurt and applesauce diet from my fall, I used a chocolate spoon for my yogurt and yesterday I had a cup of hot cocoa and stirred it with my chocolate spoon. It went in whole and came out melted! As the spoon melts, the chocolate melts into the cocoa for an extra delicious bit of chocolate in my cocoa.
So there you have it, a quick and easy leftover meal and a delicious cup of cocoa with a chocolate spoon!
Do you like leftovers, if so what are some of your favorite ones?
