DANCE OFF

DANCE OFF

Today is day 8 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and the suggested topic is to post a video and write a few sentences about it.  The video doesn’t have to be created by the writer, it can even be from YouTube.  This is called curating content and I didn’t have to think about this at all since my granddaughter made a video of me from a DANCE OFF at her baby shower yesterday.  Now for some who know me, I am very shy and quiet (YA LIKE THAT’S A LAUGH) and for those who don’t, you will see how shy and quiet I am after watching this hilarious video.  One thing I have to say, I had never met any of the family so I was trying to be on my best behavior. (OKAY THAT’S A LAUGH ALSO)

Yesterday Stevie’s family hosted a beautiful baby shower for my granddaughter Alexandra, Stevie and their soon to arrive baby, Princess Lia Faith.  Cousin Stephanie was in charge of the games and they were so much fun.  On one of the word games there was a 3 tie so we had a run off with another word game only to STILL have a 3 way tie!  So sweet Stephanie decided we would have a dance run-off!  (Remember, I’m shy)  Well instantly the other two said no way would they get up and dance.  So Stephanie suggested picking a random number.  It was then that I jumped into action saying, “YOU CAN’T DO THAT, YOU ALREADY SAID WE WOULD HAVE A DANCE RUN-OFF TO DECIDE THE WINNER!”  At that point, I jumped to my feet and well, the video tells it all!!

So after all the laughs, would you believe I danced AGAIN??  This time Stephanie and I had a duet dance, complete with music as a finale’ to the first dance.  Now if you look close, I am picking up a cup.  I assure you, that is only punch with sherbet with ginger ale!  I never drink alcohol and as you can see I can get silly without it! LOL  What a hit we both made!!

I sure hope Stevie’s family doesn’t have first impressions when they meet people for the first time, I can only imagine what they were thinking!  But what a fun day we all had and Stevie has the best family, one that I’m sure will spoil Lia Faith as much as my hubby and I will.  SIX WEEKS UNTIL PRINCESS LIA FAITH ARRIVES!!

Now for all my readers, here is your part…… I’m wondering what your opinion is of this video and if you can leave a comment below.  I’m sure you will agree with me that I’m shy and quiet!  Thanks for visiting and hope you had a good laugh like everyone at the shower did!!

  4. I love your spunk! I am definitely a wallflower and never could have the courage to get out and do that. Looks like you had a lot of fun by the big smile!

    • Martha says:

I’m not a wall flower Shelly but when around people I have never met, I’m usually reserved somewhat. Not sure what prompted me to get up and dance unless it was the way everyone was so friendly, overly cheerful and having a grand time. What a great time we ahad at the shower.

You really look like having a blast .It does push us to step out of our comfort zone.

    • Martha says:

I was Amrita and I think it was because everyone was so happy and full of joy. This was the first time I had met any of Stevie’s family and they welcomed us with open arms.
