Comfytemp Tens, EMS, Massage Device

Today I’m sharing my views on the Comfytemp Tens, EMS, Massage device. This is a low frequency electrotherapy device that stimulates nerve endings and muscle tissue to relieve acute or chronic pain, improve blood circulation and relax muscles.

In the package

The package includes 2 rechargeable host devices, 4 electrode pads,1 type-C charging cable, a user manual and zippered storage case.

Three different settings

There are three settings on the one device, The TENS therapy is used for pain management if you have arthritis pain, headaches and sore muscles from overwork.

The EMS therapy mode is used to improve performance levels of athletes by reducing muscle fatigue.

The 3rd setting is Massage therapy to help reduce muscle spasm, pain as it relaxes the muscles.

How it works

The Comfytemp is wireless and works with an app right on your Android or iOs phone. There are two devices that you will charge before attaching electrode pads to them. They have magnetic “snaps” which makes it very easy to attach the electrode to the device.

There are a total of four electrodes in the box, two butterfly shaped ones for a small group of muscles and two wired oval ones for larger areas. The butterfly electrode is great for my shoulder and the dual ones work good when there is pain in multiple areas. I can have them work on my shoulder and forearm at the same time.

My views

My first thought is how easy this device is to use since it’s wireless and can be easily charged with the charging cable. It’s lightweight and there are no wires needed except for the double oval electrodes. I also like that the case is semi-hard to protect the unit and it’s small enough to carry with you. It’s not much larger than my hand.

The app is simple to navigate and there are 32 preset modes and 20 different levels of strength along with a timing function. I can set the mode and strength level to the comfort I need and then set the number of minutes needed from 10 to 60 minutes. The electrode pads “snap” securely to the device and stick to your skin and even when moving around they stay in place. The pads are reusable, just reattach them to the clear plastic backing when not in use.

I like that I can switch between the different modes and choose the timing. If I do have to shut it off, it’s a one button STOP on the app. You can use both devices at the same time if needed or just one.

I’ve have used a TENS unit for years but it was battery operated and had a long wire attached from the electrodes to the operating device. I had to make sure I had a pocket to hold the device and be careful not to pull the wires out. With the Comfytemp I don’t have to worry about any of those problems. It’s so simple to attach, operate and store when not in use. I am pleased with how easy it was to set up the app and apply the electrodes to the areas needed for pain relief.
