Color of the Day is Orange

The color of the day is Orange for day 3 of this challenge. What do you think of when you hear orange?

I don’t have pictures but the first thing that came to mind was all the snacks that my grandkids had when they “worked” at our shop with hubby and me starting way back in the late 1990’s. They would munch on orange peanut butter and cheese crackers and orange goldfish crackers too while sipping on Sunny-D orange drink. As for me, I love Chester’s Puffcorn!!

Alexandra and Zachary each had a yellow dump truck that they would zoom around the shop racing each other. I’m talking over 20 years ago and we still have these trucks! When Zac visited us for Christmas 2017 he was surprised when he saw the trucks were still at our shop!

I couldn’t write an orange post without mentioning pumpkins! Last fall we had a few pumpkins set up on hay bales and flowers. They lasted until it was time to put out the Christmas decorations. We cut one of the pumpkins open, dried the seeds and Lia planted them this year. She checks her garden every time she visits us and now has little pumpkins growing! Hopefully she will be picking pumpkins for our fall display this year. Can’t forget the beautiful orange mums we had in our display last year. Lia would water them every morning with her jammies and boots on!
