Color of the Day -My Favorite of All is Pink

Today is the end of the Color of the Day Challenge for June! I’d like to thank Glenda from The Mommies Reviews along with her son Charlie for putting this challenge together! I completed the Ultimate Blog Challenge in April, the Song of the Day Challenge in May and now I just completed the Color of the Day Challenge! THREE CHALLENGES COMPLETED IN THREE MONTHS! Tomorrow I will begin the July Ultimate Blog Challenge! But let’s finished up this challenge with the Color of the Day my Favorite of All is Pink. I have so many colors I like but I would have to say my favorite of all has to by PINK.

I’m not sure why I love pink but I think it might be because all our beautiful pink flowers that brighten up our yard. This bougainvillea was added after the garden was completed, or so we thought! The gold pot is another “find.” It was faded green and our neighbor was throwing it away. I spray painted it gold and it’s perfect for this gorgeous plant. When we created our great granddaughter’s garden there was a lot of pink. Lia helped GGpapa paint her garden bench white with pink trim. Then they painted the fence posts, the bird feeder shepherds hook and even the little bird house on the fence. This is the blog I posted for this challenge on Color of the Day is Pink.

I also like the pink Minky fabric, it’s the perfect shade for making adorable Minky blankets for a newborn baby girl.

A few months ago I made Lia a small butterfly made from pink Minky fur. She loved it and that started the creation of Minky Cuddlers to add with the blankets.

When I made a Minky heart shaped rug to match Lia’s pink Minky blanket it was then that we added Minky rugs to Mama’s Minkys! The other day I was making one for a birthday gift for Lia’s friend and she helped me sew and take the pins out. Nothing like teaching Lia the art of sewing early just like I did with her mommy.

Lia started working on craft projects when she was about 8 months old. I pulled out a child’s size 10 tee shirt to use as a craft shirt. When she first started wearing it, the shirt was almost floor length! I figure she can use this pink shirt for her crafts until she’s at least 10 years old. Then it will be turned into a memory pillow or a wall hanging! Lia loved helping papa stain the fence and she put on her pink craft shirt for the task!

So whether it’s pink flowers or pink Minkys, I love all shades of PINK! Lia has so many cute pink shirts and hubby give me a pink shirt two years ago when I turned 70 years old! As the saying goes, pretty cool in pink!

The Color of the Day Challenge is completed and with this Color of the Day my Favorite of All is Pink closes the color wheel for this challenge. Now on to my favorite, the Ultimate Blog Challenge!!
