Color of the Day is Yellow

Today is Day 5 of this challenge and the color of the day is YELLOW. Yellow is such a happy color, when the sun shines or sets it glistens against the sky.

We enjoy watching the sunrise and the sunset. This first picture was taken as the sun was rising over the ocean in North Myrtle Beach South Carolina. The other one was taken as the sunset at Saratoga Lake in upstate New York. I didn’t realized how the reflection was right between the ducks as they were passing by.

We have beautiful roses in our backyard and this yellow one is very striking. We ordered it last year and was just about dead when it arrived. My hubby talked to it and it came back to life. This year the yellow roses are absolutely gorgeous! This is the same rose taken a day apart. I like doing time lapse photos of the roses from bud to bloom.

If you notice on my flower photos, many have dew or raindrops on them. Something about the water drops, they seem to add so much to the photo. I like how full this yellow rose is and the tiny bud will turn out the same soon.

Of course the color of the day wouldn’t be complete without Lia picking out her favorite yellow Pikachu stuffed animal. She was even Pikachu for Halloween last year! Gotta love Color of the Day is Yellow!

Cute blog post. In all honesty I can’t see the color yellow very well. I bet it is very pretty though.
