Color of the Day is White
We are already half way through the month of the June Color Challenge! Today the Color of the Day is White.
The first thing that came to mind was my white wedding gown and my sweetie’s tuxedo jacket. My grandmother and I made my wedding gown for my wedding on July 29, 1967. Rich and I will be celebrating our 53rd anniversary next month.
Every year I put my wedding gown on and while it’s gotten a bit snug throughout the years, I can still fit in it! Tiny white buttons and silk button loops made my gown special, they were white pearl that my grandmother had saved for a special occasion. This picture was taken a few years ago on our wedding anniversary.
Another white is Lia’s crib and bookshelf. The bookshelf was her mommy’s when she was younger. When we helped Alexandra set up Lia’s room the bookshelf became part of it. We highlighted the edges in pink to match Lia’s accessories and bedding.
Of course I can’t forget the beautiful white petunias. We have three large baskets of white, purple and red around mom’s memory garden. Last year when we updated mom’s garden from 2000, I made a white wooden cross, it’s perfectly positioned next to a beautiful white praying angel.
So there you have it, my Color of the Day is White blog! Oh and don’t forget a tall glass of cold white milk to go with some cookies!

Almost time to bring out the wedding gown again Rich! <3
All those whites… Cool.
White is a cool color Roy, it goes with just about any other color.
OMG! Your wedding dress is absolutely gorgeous. Love the sleeves. I would also give my right hand for those cookies. Everything around here is hard as rocks and l have brittle teeth :-).
Thanks Kemkem, I still remember sewing on all the tiny buttons a few days before my wedding! I love a cookie dunked in milk!
I love your wedding dress so pretty. Just like the lovely lady wearing it.
Awwww thanks Brenda! It’s almost time to pull it out of storage for another try on
wow – – love the beautiful wedding dress. I tried to find a picture of me in mine too for today’s post, but couldn’t put my hands on it. Probably best anyway since that marriage didn’t last long…LOL
The flowers are pretty and Ms. Lia’s room is so soft and precious. Chocolate Chip Cookies and Milk – great way to end the post.
Thanks Nancy, I’ll be trying the gown on next month again for our 53rd anniversary. That was just a sneak peek of Lia’s room, there will be more next week for her color day!
What great photos. It’s it great that God can make all these amazing colors?
God is amazing at everything he does Amanda!
