Color of the Day is Lime
We’re getting near the end of the monthly challenge! Today’s color of the day is Lime. The first thing I thought of was a lime but I don’t eat them so don’t have any hanging around my fridge. So the next best thing…….
Mama’s Minkys just got in a new batch of fabrics and one of them is Lime Minky! It’s so bright I could almost use it for the Neon color day! I’m excited to stitch up a few Minky blankets using this cute owl fabric with a variety of colors including Lime on the front of the blanket.
This is Jerry, he is a Yellow Naped Amazon parrot. My 46 year old daughter got him when she was about 16 years old. His main feathers are a blend of greens, including some lime mixed in with the yellow. When we had our shop Jerry hung out on top of his cage greeting everyone as they came in. He only went inside when we left for the day. Now he is a fixture on the wall.
A few weeks ago I was clean and sorting things for the clothing donation dropbox. (Yes I’m still working on purging the closets!) This SpongeBob bib was in a box and as soon as Lia saw it she yelled, “BumBob!” She talks good for being 22 months and we can understand her even though some of her words are a bit different than the should. But she’ll figure them all out soon! Anyway this bib has been around for 16 years! I made it for my granddaughter who will turn 17 years old in October! So SpongeBob has been a member of the grandkids family for as long as I can remember and now great granddaughter Lia is happy with her “BumBob” bib! Can you say that fast 3 times?
Lime is such a happy color, it’s bright and cheerful. I like making Minky blankets in the bright colors, babies seem to like them too! Winding down the color challenge with my color of the day is Lime.
Lime can be a very pretty color.
Yes there are some bright lime that is almost neon. Thanks for visiting Amanda!
