Color of the Day is Black
For Day 9 of this Color Challenge, the Color of the Day is Black. The first thing that comes to mind is the black sky in the middle of the night!
Last Christmas we went on a drive through a Christmas light show. The lights were awesome against the black sky background.
While watching the weather channel a while ago, they were talking about being able to see the planet Venus when it got dark out. We waited for the sky to get black and sure enough there was Venus!
But the best pictures against a black background are fireworks. I took these photos a few years ago at a 4th of July Fireworks display over the ocean at North Myrtle Beach SC. It looked like the fireworks are on a black velvet backing ready to frame.
We also had a black Dodge Thunder Road pickup truck back in 2003 but I can’t find a picture of that alone. But it made a good backdrop when I was dressed for riding my Harley in my black leather jacket and black jeans.
I like playing with the photographs I take and a few years back I was in a Black and White Photo Challenge. This is the picture I used for the opening of the challenge.
So there you have it, a variety of pictures for the Color of the Day is Black challenge!
The first thing that came to mind when I saw the color of the day was the song, Black is Black….you always come up with wonderful things to share and pictures t’boot!!! Love it….
I actually had to think on this one but once I saw the dark night sky, I got it Nancy!

Thanks Brenda, this was my first bike EVER!! It was a 2004 Harley Sportster and I was 55 years old when I started riding. Fun days when Rich and I were young!
