Close the Book on January
Thirty-one days later it’s time to close the book on January for the Ultimate Blog Challenge. It’s been another fun month of being with my online blogger friends, reading their blogs and writing mine. It’s always fun to learn different things through blogs about cultures, food, gratitude, traveling, lifestyles and even silly photos. Thanks to our gracious host Paul for sending out daily blog suggestions and keeping this group going. I joined the Ultimate Blog Challenge in January 2016 and have completed every challenge since then. This is my 33rd consecutive UBC, only 17 to go until I hit the 50 mark! This is another one of my challenges, to reach 50 Ultimate Blog Challenges before I reach 80 years old! I’ll be 75 this March so my calculations say I’ll make it!
Lia has had another fun month with her Friday Story Time by Lia blogs and I’ve enjoyed sharing my recipes, re-organizing tips and recipes.
We both want to thank all those who visited, read, commented and shared our blogs on other social media platforms. It’s because of all of you that keeps our stats growing steadily!
Wordless Wednesday
Since today is also Wordless Wednesday I have to share two photos. Some of you have known Lia since she was a tiny baby, she started blogger at a very young age. She went out driving a few days ago in her purple car we gave her for 2nd Christmas. She looked so cute riding down the sidewalk as Rich held the remote control to keep her straight. The other day she drove it all by herself and we had such a fun afternoon watching her have fun driving. But then I found one of her early driving days and she has grown up right in front of our eyes!
The way time goes by so fast, she’ll be getting a real car before we know it. There is a dealership in Albany, NY called Lia Kia and we stopped there a few years ago when in the area. We took Lia’s picture with the manager and after giving her a few “Lia” gifts he told her to stop back when she’s 16 or 18 to buy a Lia Kia car. We just may do that!
As I close the book on January I also like to close the Ultimate Blog Challenge with a poem I wrote. We’ll be back in April and looking forward to seeing my “old” blogger friends and meeting new ones! Until then, BLOG ON!
Love your stories about Lia! Congratulations on completing another session of the Ultimate Blogging Challenge.
Thanks Kate, I love sharing her compassion and enthusiasm! See you in April.
