Christmas Themed Blogmas Challenge
So I just found out there’s a new blog Challenge in town! It’s Blogmas and the December theme is what else but Christmas! I’m already participating in the December Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge and some of those blogs may be Christmas themed and will work here too.
Since Lia and I love to bake, I’m sure I will find some Christmas recipes to share and we have our Christmas aprons ready to go! Lia’s mommy joined us making delicious cookies the other day and we all have our Dapper and Doll Christmas aprons ready!
But for Day 1 of Blogmas what better way to start off my Christmas blog by telling you a little story.
Back on Christmas day 1965 I met my first love on a blind date set up by my friend in school who knew his brother I was 16 years old, Rich was 19 and had just returned from Vietnam where he served in the US Army.
We went to the movies and saw That Darn Cat and that’s how it all began. For the next year and a half we were inseparable while I finished high school, graduating in June 1965. After all these years I still have the program!
Rich and I were married on July 29, 1967. We celebrated our 53 wedding anniversary this past July and will celebrate 55 years together this Christmas!
Wait until my next post with more exciting memories of Christmas!
The best part of Christmas is it brings a feeling of hope, through out the world Enjoyed this memory
Yes that’s the best part Amrita and we all need hope and memories.
Enjoyed your romantic Christmas post.
Thanks Virginia, time goes by so quickly and we hold in to all the wonderful memories.
Well that is a great day 1, I will need to watch this one because you already have 55 Christmas stories to share – let’s see how this works out, after all there is only 31 days in the month.
I’m trying Chef William! I’m enjoying new recipes and trying to keep up with my healthy eating plan!
I love this story! I also love that it’s a Christmas story. I’m glad you are going to do Blogmas, too.
I wouldn’t have found Blogmas if it wasn’t for you Jeanine! Thank you for sharing about it. This is one of my favorite Christmas stories and memories.
Another great post.
Thanks, nothing like another challenge Amanda.
