Christmas Eve
The Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge is up to day 24. The topic is content that feels different. For me Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will feel different because of COVID, families will not be able to celebrate the birth of Jesus together.
Many families are fighting COVID, many have passed away from it. The other day my son-in-law lost his dad to COVID. It was a sad day for the entire family especially being so close to Christmas.
I hope and pray that the vaccine will help slow down this virus, we have lost too many loved ones. But until this virus goes away we will continue to wear masks, sneeze or cough in our elbow, keep social distance and wash hands often.
Lia has an entire collection of masks! Our neighbor made her an adorable apron and chef hat with a matching mask plus Halloween and hand print mask. A few weeks ago she brought Lia two more masks, one was little Gingerbread men and the other is Christmas ice skates. Of course she has her everyday owl mask to go with her owl collection. You know the saying, “Don’t leave home without it?” That’s Lia and us with our masks.
While Christmas will feel different, it will still be a wonderful celebration of the birth of Jesus just not with as many family members with us.

I’m ending my Christmas Eve blog today with one of my favorite Christmas hymns.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas even though it may feel different and Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends.
Martha, yes to every point you make! Even several years ago, we never imagined iconic photos of our tiny relatives *wearing masks*. Thanks for the hymn– one of my favorites. Wishing you a deeply joyous Christmas Eve.
Thank you Kebba, wishing you the same. I love all the hymns this time of year but some are just extra special.
Happy Holy and Holly Day! Lia looks great in her masks!!
Lia is great about making sure she has her mask on as soon as we get in the truck Kate! We tell her she can wait but she wants to be ready!
I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and have a happy new year.
We did Amanda, thank you! I hope yours was wonderful with your grandfather too. Hard to believe we’re going into a new year! Hoping you have a happy and healthy New Year!
