Chicken Alfredo with Cheese Overload
A few weeks ago I bought boneless chicken breasts on sale for $1.99 a pound. When my granddaughter saw the picture I posted, she started drooling. I told her next time she was visiting us I would make it again. So yesterday I made Chicken Alfredo with Cheese Overload!
This was so quick and easy to prepare and not to mention delicious to eat! I started by browning both sides in my cast iron skillet with a small amount of oil. I put the chicken in a baking dish and covered it with Alfredo sauce and sprinkled shredded Mozzarella cheese over the top.
Bake in a 350 degree oven, uncovered, for about an hour (depending on the size of the chicken pieces). Half way through the baking I realized I forgot to add the crumbled bacon to the Alfredo sauce! But no worry, I added the bacon to the sauce while it was baking and the chicken smelled so delicious!
I cooked up so pasta and between my hubby, granddaughter and me we had a mouth-watering dinner for less than $6.00 total for all three dinners.
Since hubby doesn’t like cheese, I prepared his with tomato sauce and my granddaughter got creative and mixed some tomato sauce with the Alfredo sauce. For me, I just had my chicken alfredo with cheese overload.
I enjoy sharing my easy to prepare meals and this one was great! What a delicious, inexpensive and filling meal not to mention an awesome day with my granddaughter and great granddaughter visiting.
That looks delicious! If you mix the Alfredo and sauce together with a splash of vodka you’ll have another favorite—penne ala vodka. Beautiful photos add so much to your post too. I can smell it from here.
It was delicious Debi! The cheese took the place of the vodka, never had that. I love adding photos to my blogs. Thanks for visiting.
WOW! All the plates look amazing. I bet everyone loved it, Martha!
This was SO delicious Jeanine and SO cheesy! Thanks for drooling over dinner!
Thank you for sharing! I’m always on the lookout for new meals to add to our meal plan. It looks delicious. As a lover of cheese, it had me drooling!
I love sharing my quick, inexpensive and yummy meals Shelly! I like to feed my family for under $5.00, it’s another challenge for me. Thanks for visiting the dinner table!
Now I want some lol.
Mary, I’ve made chicken alfredo before but I must say this one was tops for sure! I’ll save you some next time!
