Chelsea’s New House

Today for Friday Story Time by Lia I want to show you Chelsea’s new house! Chelsea is a doll about 7″ tall and she’s Barbie’s little sister!

The beginning with me playing with dolls

When mommy was about my age, she had a big box of Polly Pocket dolls that she and her friend would play with. Ma saved them and one day she pulled the box out and I started playing with the tiny dolls! Most of the dolls and the accessories were broken but I still had fun playing with dolls without arms or only one leg. But than I got a super surprise for my birthday!

My Birthday Surprise!

I came home the day before my birthday and there was something covered in a sheet. It was big and when I started to open it, I was so excited!

Under the sheet was a huge three story doll house! It even has a elevator and a swimming pool! I can move the pool and deck to the side to give me even more room to play.

I checked out all the rooms and organized the furniture. There is a keyboard in the family room that actually plays a song and the toilet even flushes! If it’s dark, I can turn the light on so my dolls don’t fall walking upstairs. But wait, I don’t have any dolls! Ma said it’s actually not me birthday so maybe I’d get some dolls then.

Sure enough, the next day when I woke up, I opened some of my presents and I got three Chelsea dolls! I even got a car for them to drive around it! But first I added the stickers to decorate their new car.

I set up the pool patio with a table, chairs and umbrella so my dolls could enjoy the pool while they ate. I now have four Chelsea dolls and it’s so much fun playing with my dolls and their new house.

Yesterday when I got home from school and as I finished writing my blog, a package arrived. I was so excited when I opened it and found an SUV that fits all four of my Chelsea dolls! Now all can drive around together and their puppy even rides in the car!

What I didn’t know when I first saw my awesome doll house was that it came in a box and it had to be put together. Ma, pop and mommy built it while I was at gramma’s and it took them about 2 hours to put all the pieces together to make it into a house. I wonder if I’ll have it as long as mommy had her Polly Pocket dolls! It’s so much fun to play pretent with my Chelsea doll family and their new house.

My new doll house is made out of wood just like my play kitchen that I got last year so it should last a long time. I was so excited and surprised when I saw Chelsea’s new house and I love playing with my new Chelsea family.

Ma said if you are looking for a great, well built doll house, check out this KidKraft Uptown Dollhouse!

I hope you enjoyed playing with me and my Chelsea dolls, I’ll be back next Friday for another cool story!

Lia, your dollhouse is amazing. Can I come live in it?

  2. “Chelsea dolls”? Interesting. The first Skipper dolls were 7 or 8 inches high, flatchested, like Chelsea. Then some (probably male) person thought Skipper needed to wear an A bra, and there was Stacy (Jr), about 6 inches high iirc and flatchested. So now, Chelsea. Barbie is over 50 and she has a little sister who’s…adopted. LOL.

I enjoy making stuff for the little-sister dolls in Barbie Land too, of course.

Actually Chelsea could be Barbie’s daughter or even granddaughter! LOL We also found Chelsea boy dolls so Lia now has “Pop” in her doll family. She has such a fun time with her new dolls and dollhouse Priscilla.

  3. What a cute dollhouse. 🙂

  4. What a cute dollhouse. 🙂 Glad that you are enjoying it.
