Celebrating Palm Sunday on Spiritual Sunday

Today is Palm Sunday for those who celebrate. It’s the Sunday before Easter where palm branches were waved to greet Jesus as he entered Jerusalem. Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week and in our church the palms are handed out at the beginning of Mass and then they are blessed by the Priest.

I remember my first Palm Sunday with Rich when I would watch his grandfather make the most beautiful crosses from the palms. Every Palm Sunday I make one but they are no way as perfect as Pa’s but I’m still learning after 59 years.

To everyone celebrating Palm Sunday on Spiritual Sunday, may you have a blessed Holy Week.
