What a perfect blog topic suggestion for today to Caption this Wordless Wednesday Photo.

A few weeks ago as I was walking to the mailbox and I noticed my neighbor had fallen in her garage. I rush in and was going to drive her to the ER but then I realized I should call the ambulance. After spending hours in the ER with her, she was admitted. The next morning I went to check on her and she was very sad and wanted to come home but they were still running tests. I told her I would stop back again tomorrow.
On my way out I asked the head nurse if I could bring my small, well behaved dog with me. My neighbor loves Snowball and he loves her, running into her garage every time I drop the leash when her door is open. I told the nurse he wasn’t a certified service dog but when I told her how he was like an emotional support dog and I know he would bring smiles to my neighbor the nurse agreed to let me bring him in.
So the next morning, with Snowball excited to go for a car ran we headed to the hospital. My neighbor had just finished her shower and the nurse told her she had a visitor. Snowball and I sat on the sofa waiting for her to come out of the shower room.
When she got to her bed, I could tell she was very sad and in quite a bit of pain from her fall. When she was settled I walked over and Snowball jumped right up on her lap. My neighbor was so happy and full of smiles when the two of them exchanged kisses.

I took her a Krispy Kreme donut and smiled as she and Snowball shared it.

I think her seeing Snowball was the best medicine she could receive. Even the nurses were wiping their eyes when they saw the two of them sharing so much love. She is back home, doing well and Snowball always makes sure to check on her everyday. Snowball isn’t just a dog, he’s a bundle of love, joy and comfort all in one fuzzy ball of fur.
I’m looking forward to your captions for this photo and I’ll share them in an upcoming blog!
Aww, such a heartwarming story! Well done to ask if you could bring Snowball! I am convinced that emotional support, be it by humans or animals, is just as important as tge pure medical treatment.
You’re a great friend and neighbor 🥰
Thanks Tamara, I was so happy with the head nurse allowed me to bring Snowball to visit. The look on my neighbor’s face was priceless when she saw him!
What a sweet story, Snowball is so special! I don’t have a caption idea, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the story and photos.
Thanks for visiting Kimberly, Snowball even made the nurses smile! I’m so happy he made my neighbor happy, the best medicine!
What a special photo, and great story behind it. I’m glad you were able to bring a little happiness to your neighbour during her medical emergency.
I think her seeing Snowball and giving him hugs helped immensely with her healing Barbara.
Martha, been a while since i came and commented here but catching up and so glad to start with this heartwarming post.. and for the caption, can’t think of anything else but the simple ‘Love Heals All’
Vidya, your caption is perfect and that’s exactly what it did when Snowball hugged and kissed my neighbor. She was so happy and that made her heal quicker, at least I think it did.
“I’m gonna kiss it and make it better like only a dog can do!”
And that’s just what Snowball did Alice! Two days of no smiles and when my neighbor saw Snowball she perked right up. I know he played a big part of her getting well quicker.
How wonderful, that you were allowed to bring Snowball! The caption I’m thinking of is “Snowball’s Kiss: the Medicine She Needed.”
I knew Snowball would brighten her day Jeanine and I’m happy the head nurse allowed me to bring him in.
Fuffy Kiss of Love?
Oh that’s a good one Dianne! Thanks for your idea.
Kindness and love are emotions, humans and dogs both recognize and appreciate. Snowball and you both made me smile today. I am glad you are better now.
Thanks for visiting Amrita. Yes sometimes dogs know more about humans than we do. After two months, I finally got relief with the epidural. Last (hopefully) wrist check tomorrow to get brace off!
Kindness and love are emotions, humans and dogs both recognize and appreciate. Snowball and you both made me smile today. I am glad you are better now.
I would say Dog Make the Best Medicine but Charlie said Angel Kisses and David Love of a Dog and his Friend
Oh Glenda, those are all great! I love reading what others see in the photo!
What a sweet photo. 🙂 I hope your neighbor feels better soon.
She is doing much better Amanda, thank you. I think a big part of her feeling better was her seeing and hugging Snowball.
