Bird Tour for Wordless Wednesday
Today I’m inviting you to go on a bird tour for Wordless Wednesday with me. I’m still learning the different setting on my Nikon P1000 camera and let me tell you my 75 year old brain is getting a good run for the money! There is so much to learn and I’ve since moved from just using the automatic setting to Shutter Priority mode. The photo of the hawk was the trickiest since he was behind the branches. I ended up getting a fairly good shot of his head while he was eating. I hope you enjoy the bird tour for Wordless Wednesday around our backyard!
I hope you enjoyed the short tour of our backyard birds. If I had to caption this photograph, it would be “WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?”
Beautiful! We just installed a bird feeder in our backyard and enjoy watching who comes to visit us.
It is so fun to watch birds Elisa!
Oh Martha these are so good.I am very proud of you. Will you teach me how to do the shutter priority thing?I have a nikon but not doing it right always.
Thanks Amrita. I am still learning but I will post a blog about my learning of shutter and aperture priority best I can.
Absolutely beautiful, Martha!
A bunch of pidgeons
How sad that this was Roy’s last comment on my blogs. RIP Roy, you have been so helpful to so many though out the time I have known your through the UBC.
Wow! Awesome birds, Martha. Looks like you’re pretty good with the camera already.
Thanks Lily, I’m getting there!
I think your camera skills are impressive Martha. The pictures are stunning.
Thanks Karen, still so much to learn with my camera. Much different than snapping with my phone!
Those pictures are amazing!! How nice that you have all of those visitors in your backyard.
I love our backyard birds Jeanine!
Love these pics! I take bird pictures too – usually when I’m walking, Today we saw a woodpecker – it was stunning.
I love woodpeckers Andrea. We have one in the tree behind our house but he always seems to be pecking away on the backside!
Martha, wow! These bird images are so sharp! My sister uses the same camera as you, to shoot bird images. I am seriously considering getting one also, later in the year. Thank you for these gorgeous photos! The hawk seems to have been snacking, and the pigeon has the reddest feet ever!
I love my Nikon but I don’t use it enough to remember the setting! I need to get using it more often. 1
Beautiful pictures Martha. I have not taken my camera out since my break and seeing these make me want to once again
I always have my camera or at least my phone handy to snap pictures Vidya!
I like birds. Especially the one I fell in love with at the pet store. When we would often go to the pet store to see him. Last time I saw him he wasn’t there. So I found another bird I liked and named him Cheeto.
Awww what a cute name for your pet store bird Amanda!
Beautiful photos and we have a Nikon as well and I need to send David and Charlie to spend some time with you so they can learn to take better photos.
I’m still learning everything about my Nikon P1000 but love the photos it takes Glenda.
