Binoculars with a Digital Camera
Binoculars with a Digital Camera
What a great idea, a pair of binoculars with a digital camera. Included with the binoculars is a USB cord to charge the battery, I just insert it into the port between the eye pieces and plug the other end into my computer.
When the battery needs charging, a “Battery Low” message shows on the LCD display and the red indicator light will shine. Once the battery has been recharged, the light will go off. The camera works with a Micro-SD card, it’s easy to insert it just below where the USB plug is inserted. The camera is easy to use and has both a still photo and video mode.
I just pop open the cover to expose the 2″ LCD display and that’s were the buttons are to turn the camera on and set the adjustments. The first thing I did was set the date and time with the up and down arrows. I then went through the menu to set up the photo quality, sharpness, balance, resolution, exposure, etc.
I like the neck strap that is attached to the binoculars so they will always be handy when I’m bird watching or at a ball game. To adjust the view for sharpness, just turn the wheel on the top of the binoculars and once you turn the camera on, click on the Mode button to choose between video or still. The button opposite the Mode, is to take a photo. The Pyrus digital camera binoculars is great at ball games, hunting, hiking and my favorite, bird watching. I love watching our blue birds but when I get too close, they fly away. With the binoculars, I can stay a distant away but still see them up close with the 12x magnification-32mm aperture system. I can’t wait to use these at my grandson’s high school graduation so I can see him up close as he walks across the stage to accept his diploma!
These can even be attached to a tripod with the threaded tripod mounting hole on the bottom of the binoculars. This is a great feature when taking photos.
The binoculars are very well made and classy looking with the matte silver and black rubber housing to protect against scratching. I wear glasses and it’s no problem looking through the binoculars when I have them on. All I do is roll the rubber eye piece down so I can get closer to the eye pieces. The left eye piece has the rubber rolled down while the right side is how it is when using without eye glasses.
I am pleased with the quality and workmanship of this product that I received in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. If you go to sports games, concerts, hiking, bird watching or hunting and fishing, the Pyrus binocular digital camera is great to take with you.
Those look sweet!
They are Nancy! I have to work on the settings to get the photos clear and I also can’t download a picture from my files to my blog. Not sure why, I’ll work on that and add photos from the camera.
