Beer Can Chicken Roasting Rack with Vegetable Spikes

I have so many Cave Tools products and they are all awesome.  Just when I think I have to best of them all, I received the Beer Can Chicken Roasting Rack with Vegetable Spikes.  I must say, when I grilled my chicken, it was so tender and delicious.  I added potatoes to the spikes and they were finished baking when the chicken was fully cooked.

The roasting rack comes with a 100% safe stainless steel canister that can be filled with liquid.  While it’s called a beer can chicken roasting rack, I decided to be creative right from the start and I added orange juice and water to the can.  The cover tightens securely and the flat bottom can locks securely in place in the center of the rack so it doesn’t tip over when removing the chicken.  For starters, I sprayed my chicken with butter then add seasoning mix all over and pushed the chicken over the beer can.

An hour of grilling, checking the internal temperature of the chicken

With the vegetable spikes, it’s a simple way to cook potatoes and even corn on the cob.  I added a few potatoes, put the roasting rack on the barbecue grill, closed the cover and waited for the chicken to cook.   My chicken was about three pounds so I planned that it would probably take about an hour to complete.  I checked the chicken 30 minutes into cooking and it already had a golden brown skin.  I rotated the pan on the grill, closed the cover and let it continue to cook.  After another 30 minutes, the chicken not only was totally browned but it smelled delicious!  I checked the internal temperature of the chicken with a meat thermometer and it was cooked to perfection, even the potatoes were perfectly baked and dinner was ready.

I love to grill and this beer can chicken roasting rack will definitely be used often.  But don’t worry it the weather is bad, you can also use this in your oven!  Being made of all stainless steel, cleanup is a breeze and it’s even dishwasher safe.

I’m excited to experiment with different liquids plus herbs and I’m planning on making an orange glaze with the orange juice in the canister next time I grill my beer can chicken.  As a bonus from Cave Tools, everyone that purchases this awesome product will receive free Barbecue Recipe Book to download.
