Beautiful Cathedral
For Wordless Wednesday, no words are needed for the photos I captured of the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Charleston South Carolina. Both the inside and the outside of this Catholic Cathedral are breathtaking.

Wow, that is a huge but beautiful church.
Yes it is Sandy, it reminds me of a smaller version of the cathedrals in Italy. The garden was so peaceful also, hubby and I just sat there and reflected. Thanks for stopping by.
So pretty, I absolutely love Charleston!
Thanks Savvy Age, this is the first time we’ve actually spent time doing the tourist thing in Charleston! Thanks for visiting.
What a lovely church. Beautiful sanctuary.
I was in awe when we went inside, I had seen photos but seeing it in person was absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for stopping by Nona.
Beautiful photographs! I’ve been to Charleston a few times, but I’ve never been able to visit many of the sites there. This cathedral looks like a wonderful place to visit.

Tossing It Out
Thanks Arlee, we have been there many times mostly for hospital visits to MUSC. We happened to have a few spare hours between appointments and made it just in time for the noon Mass. It reminded me of a smaller version of the Cathedrals in Italy. Thanks for stopping by Arlee.
It’s beautiful, thanks for sharing these wonderful photos.
Thanks Brenda, it was so beautiful both inside and out plus the garden was such a peaceful place. Thanks for visiting.
What a gorgeous cathedral! Lovely photos! Thanks so much for sharing, and warm greetings from Montreal, Canada. 🙂
Thanks for visiting from Montreal Linda! I love taking photos and these were definitely worth fighting all the traffic to get there.
It’s really hard to capture the majesty of a cathedral, just as it’s hard to capture all of a panaramic view. A camera can only see pieces — not the whole. I especially like your photo of the cross on the tower against the sky.
You are so right Barbara, cameras can only get pieces. I like to focus on closeups of the pieces to see more detail and this cathedral gave me lots of that! Thanks for stopping by.
