As The Saying Goes
As the saying goes, it’s time for another Ultimate Blog Challenge! It’s hard to believe I’ve been doing this challenge since January 2016, 8 years and this will be my 32nd consecutive challenge!
I love it because I have meet so many wonderful bloggers who have become friends. For those who are new to the Ultimate Blog Challenge, our host Paul T. keeps everyone well informed with a daily post and a suggested topic. I like that, sometimes I have brain fade and can’t come up with an idea but Paul always has great topics for us to write about. This challenge is run four times a year, January, April, July and October and we write a blog each day of those months. It’s fun, exciting and great to keep your mind in gear!
I have had a busy summer, I recuperated well from my gall bladder surgery in July but last week I ended up in the ER with acute bacterial diverticulitis. I don’t usually get knocked down much but gosh, this knocked me down. However I knew the UBC was just around the corner and I needed to get back up and on to the challenge!
As usually I have a variety of topics in my head and yes many of them will be my quick and easy meals! I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the previous bloggers in the challenge and excited to welcome any newcomers!
And now a little bit from Lia, our little Miss Sunshine!
Hi, I’m excited to be back in the blog challenge after a super busy summer. Just before the July challenge ended I graduated from 4K and a few weeks later I was a flower girl in my aunt’s wedding! I started Kindergarten a week later and then two days after I started school, I celebrated my 5th birthday! I finished my 2nd year participating in Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser and these are some of my blog topics I will be writing about! I’ll be sharing some of my baking projects too!
Challenge Poem
I like to start the challenge off with a poem I wrote a few years ago, hope it gets you going on this challenge. Lia and I are both looking forward to your awesome blogs!
Good to see you’re feeling well enough to be here for Day 1 of the UBC, Martha!
Aww, Lia’s birthday cake looks absolutely awesome. Can’t wait to read about her Kindergarten activities, and of course I’m always interested in easy meal ideas!
I wouldn’t miss this challenge Tamara! Looking forward to reading your topics this challenge!
Always good to reconnect. I am amazed you have done all these consecutive challenges. You are amazing! (I knew that already, naturally. ) I look forward to seeing you throughout the challenge!
Thanks Julie, I have a drive in me that won’t stop! LOL
It’s always so good to see you again, Martha, and Lia, too! A belated Happy Birthday, Lia. I can’t believe it’s been that long since I met you.
So happy to see you back Jeanine and Lia and I are ready for some exciting topics! Yes, Lia has grown up so fast and had a great 5th birthday!
Wow! Lia is growing up!
Glad to see you again, and I love you’re fully recovered from your GB surgery!
Look forward to hearing more from your adventures!
God bless,
Laurie
I look back at Lia’s baby pictures and wonder with the five years went. She has grown up so fast in both body and mind! There is no stopping her! Looking forward to your blogs Laurie!
Martha, I am excited that you and Lia are in the UBC again! How wonderful that you beat the bacterial diverticulitis– that can be painful. I am so looking forward to whatever you and Lia may share this month. Wish I knew what year I started doing the UBC! (At least a year before Paul took it over.)
I wish I had keep track of how I met and when I met so many wonderful bloggers. I think the first year I joined, there was a lady with Paul, I have to go back in the records and see what I can find. Looking forward to reading your awesome blogs again!
I hope you are better now Martha. It must have been a rough few days .Glad you are back.Lookimg forward to your tips about meals. Can you also share tips for managing your own biz?You were a business women and I would love to get your wise perspective on this too.
It was touch and go as to whether I would get my first blog done Amrita but then I said, “get moving, you can do it!” LOL Between Lia and I we have some great meals, as for managing our biz, that too is just do it! LOL
I love seeing you grow as a blogger and seeing Little Lia grow. Happy blogging.
Little Lia will have to change her name to growing up Lia! LOL When I was in a blogging group way long time ago, one of my granddaughter’s was a few years old. Everyone nicknamed her “Lil’ Kid”. When she got 5 or 6 she started writing blogs like Lia does now. At them time some of my viewers said we need to change her handle so I took suggestions. She then became “Kewl Kid” to the blogging world. Thanks for stopping by Amanda!
