Art in the Streets Photo Challenge – Week 2
Art in the Streets Photo Challenge
January 20 – 26
For the Art in the Streets Photo Challenge for this week, I am going to share some church steeples I took while visiting in Lafayette, Indiana. The first photo was taken for the porch looking towards the church. The other two were taken as I walked a few blocks from the house.
I also like to edit my photos so I added some interest to them using the MIX app for Andriod.
Do you like to take photos of interesting things you see? Why not join the Art in the Streets Photo Challenge? I’d love to share your photos! ArtStreets
How to Participate in the Art in the Streets Photo Challenge:

Pretty steeples! I enjoy photo challenges because they make me think outside the box, and take photos of things and from new angles that I never would have thought of on my own.
I’m glad you just took the pictures. Lugging around all those steeples would have been pretty arduous!
LOL Roy, yes it would have been a bit of a problem! Thanks for stopping by again!
I’m not sure about the filtering. Personally I’d rather have seen the whole thing.
I was just trying different filters and since all three churches were in a downtown area, close to the street, it would have been impossible to photo the entire church without have parked vehicles in the way. I do love old churches though. Thanks for visiting Nick.
Local photography is a great exercise – we don’t notice so much of what is around us, and photography makes us take note of lighting, composition, and more. I’m not the greatest fan of filters but I think a couple of these worked well with the subject matter.
I like to study a photograph after I take it and see what I could have done different, the lighting, angles, etc. Actually the filter app was from a review product I did and had to use different filters. The “shelf” with the six photos was from another review app. Thanks for visiting Alana.
Hi Martha, Thanks for participating in Art in the Streets. Those steeples are great examples of the simple yet decorative architecture used by parish churches 🙂
Thank you for posting about this challenge Lee-Anne. I’d love to find some old barns to photograph! Thanks for visiting.
The pictures are lovely. I love to see all of the detail. Reminds of my Western Culture studies way back in college.
I love to take photos of nothing special and after I study them, I see all the detail. Thanks for stopping by!
