Armenian Mountain Tea

When we had our kitchen remodeled, the husband and wife cabinet installers were Armenian. It was them that introduced me to Armenian Mountain Tea.

Of course throughout their time in our kitchen, Lia would run to the edge of the kitchen and peek at what they were doing. Lily and Lia carried on daily conversations and of course Lily enjoyed Lia’s antics. The two became best friends (which isn’t hard to do with Lia around)

Lily carried a large thermos in every day that I assumed was coffee but when she poured it in her cup the aroma was out of this world.

It literally was from out of this world! Armenian Mountain Tea is made from wild flowers and herbs that are gathered from clean mountain regions of Armenia and cultivated without chemicals. Tea has been a tradition in Armenia for over 2000 years! It was interesting to listen to Lily talk about how her family makes this tea back in her homeland.

Some of the wild flowers and herbs are thyme, chamomile, rosehips, pomegranate, mint and blackberry leaves.

When the cabinets were installed, Lily asked if I had a pitcher and she poured what she had left of her tea in it for me! As she poured the tea, all the herbs and flowers poured in my pitcher! I have no idea what they all were but the tea was so flavorful and delicious!

This is one website that gives more information on Armenian Mountain Tea and they have a variety of flavors as you can see from their picture. https://www.authentic-teas.com/our-teas/

I love having a cup of this tea for breakfast with wheat toast. Something about the aroma, it is like a breath of fresh air!

I enjoy all different herbal teas, orange spice, lemon, chamomile and now this Armenian Mountain Tea tops my list! What is your favorite tea if you drink it?

Did you know that tea can help reduce stress and you can even have a tea ritual morning or evening? My blogger friend Jeanine wrote a wonderful blog sharing her tea rituals and it’s very interesting. Grab a cup of tea and read her blog! https://www.jeaninesgingerbreadcottage.com/blog/tea-meditation-daily-rituals-self-care

Martha, I am a tea junkie. Now, I am going to have to try it.

  2. I finally learned to like tea just a year or so ago. I’m a late learner. During the afternoon when I need a pick-me-up, I have a cup of tea.
    This one sounds really interesting.

I remember having tea with my grandmother when I was young Virginia. I’ve never had coffee and don’t even care fir the smell but tea I love.

  3. Martha, thanks so much for mentioning me and my blog post about tea and tea rituals!! I so appreciate that! How neat that you guys had that experience. Your friends offer the same kind of tea I offer – loose leaf. That’s the kind you want, because you get the flavor and aroma, and no fillers. And as you pointed out, you will get actual real herbs, flowers, etc. My favorite tea is dessert tea! You know how you are working on eating healthier? Well, I decided that if I could drink desserts all day long, that might help with my LOVE of all things sweet. And it does! You can usually find me drinking something that tastes like apple pie. 🙂

You are very welcome! Dessert teas, I love that idea Jeanine! My grandmother got in into tea when I was young, she never drank coffee and neither do I. But tea, that’s something I love hot or cold!

Ok, I expected to see Lia sitting at a little table with a red hat on, drinking from a teacup holding her pinky finger up (or is it down)…..Maybe with some crumpets and jam??!?? Ok, now I’m getting hungry again…..

  5. I have been learning so much about teas lately! I’m usually an iced tea drinker, but going to starting drinking soothing tea in the evening. 🙂

I use to drink a large cup of McD’s sweet tea everyday when we had our shop. When I started my healthy eating I realized I was actually drinking a large cup of sugar! I went cold turkey on that but started brewing unsweet tea and adding berries or oranges and lemons to it. Delicious and so much healthier than all that sugar! If you don’t have flavored tea, just make a hot cup of tea and add some cinnamon to it Angie!

  6. This sounds like something I should get my good friend. I will check out the site.
