April Challenge is Under the Belt

Gosh, don’t know where the month went but the April Challenge is under the belt already! I didn’t even have any hiccups coming up with topics and even have a list of topics that still can be written! But it’s over and time to move on to May but that doesn’t mean we stop writing. No way, the Ultimate Blog Challenge which is held in January, April, July and October is actually a great way to keep my blogging going throughout the other months.

I am very persistent when it comes to a challenge and I HAVE to complete it, no matter what the challenge is. I’m so glad I stumbled onto this challenge in January 2016 and I have completed every one since then. When the challenge is over my writing juices are still going and I try to write one or two blogs each week.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to all who took part of this challenge, even if you weren’t able to write each day. Hey, at least you gave it your all! There are a few that even though they ran out of time to post all 30, they are still catching up and sticking with it until they have them all completed. A super big congrats to them for being so persistent!

How did I do for the April Challenge?

Well my biggest accomplishment was reaching 100,000 blog views since I switched over to my own hosting and domain 3 years ago. This milestone happened during the April challenge, how cool is that! It’s because of my readers (which include MANY challenge members) that made this possible so I was excited to share this news during April.

I checked my stats just before April 1st and I had 99,393 views. I was so excited 9 days later when I reached 100,000 views. I ended the challenge with 102,063 so I’m quite happy with my total views of 2,665.

My other April excitement is my great granddaughter started blogging and has her own category on my blog! The Martha Review now has 3 generations of bloggers! Alex’s Articles are written by my granddaughter Alexandra and now her daughter writes and even makes videos (with a little help from great grandma) on Lia’s Likings, The Baby Blogger.

My goals for May and June are to continue blogging at least once a week, if not two. I will also keep going on my healthy eating challenge that I started last July and will post a year update in the July challenge.

A big thank you to Paul, the terrific host of the Ultimate Blog Challenge for all he does to keep the challenge running smooth and keeping us updated with emails. Also there wouldn’t be a challenge if it wasn’t for all the bloggers who join in and not only post but read, comment, share, and like other members blogs. That’s what it’s all about – teamwork to keep the challenge on track! Thank you to all!

Until I see you all again in July, keep on blogging!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

  1. It was a great month of blog posts, Martha!! I’m so glad you are a blog companion during the challenges! I am going to try to stay connected in between this time and not drop from the face of the earth as I sometimes do during those months. 🙂

I enjoyed writing and reading the other blogs throughout the challenge Jeanine! I’m hoping to be more active the next few months so I’ll be ready to jump into the July challenge! I’m sure Lia will help me work on blogs in the weeks to come! Let’s make a pact that we will both stay active between sipping our tea! Congrats on your completion and hugs to you!

I’m having so much fun helping Lia with her blogs! I’m sure she’ll be writing a garden update soon, she loved playing in the dirt with bare foot. We’ll definitely stay in touch Vidya! Thanks for all your visits.
