April 2023 Ultimate Blog Challenge
Today is April 1st and I’m so excited!! No not because it’s April Fools Day but because it’s the beginning of the April 2023 Ultimate Blog Challenge! I am especially excited to get back on track since I have not written ONE BLOG since the January Challenge and I’m missing my blogging friends! I turned 74 years old in March and I have been slacking big time but life got in my way. However I did come up with many blog topics that I would write down over the past few months. In January I turned the UBC into weekly topics and I was pleased with the response I received from my viewers. So I decided to do that again this month.
I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the past UBC members and hoping to meet many newcomers to this wonderful challenge group! This is my 30th UBC challenge I have participated in and completed each one! Lia is excited to get back to her Friday Story Time by Lia too!
For those who haven’t met Lia, she is my 4 1/2 year old great-granddaughter who has been blogging with my for what seems forever! Lia loves to bake, cook, sew, do craft projects and gardening plus this is the second year she is participating in Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser in memory of her great, great, grandmother. Be sure to check out her blogs on Friday, she may share some of her new recipes!
I love a challenge and Lia and I can’t let today go without a BIG THANK YOU to our gracious host Paul Taubman for keeping the challenge going and putting up with us all! LOL Be sure to visit Paul’s site https://digitalmaestro.com/ to read some of his awesome blogs!
The one thing that keeps this challenge going so great is YOU!!! All the members help the other bloggers by viewing, liking, commenting and sharing their blogs and in turn the they do the same for you! So this is a great way to see your stats increase plus make new blogger friends!
I’ll be back with my first weekly mini challenge and the topic will by CHALLENGES! How’s that for a starter? I seem to live for a challenge and I can turn anything in to an exciting challenge for me to get projects down, do re-organizing, yes even coming up with blog topics for the UBC! Wait until you read about my 6 year challenge that I’m working on! YES SIX YEAR CHALLENGE!!!
As usual I like to start the Ultimate Blog Challenge with a poem I wrote to get everyone some motivation.
I’ll be here for the month sharing my blogs, sometimes it may be a challenge and other days they topics will fly right out. As birds open their wings to soar, we will open our brains and get soaring into the great April 2023 Ultimate Blog Challenge! As the saying goes….BLOG ON!!
Hi Martha, happy belated birthday! I’m excited to see what you and Lia get up to this month and am very curious about your 6 year challenge!
Thank you Kimberly, I so happy to get back to blogging and catch up with everyone’s blogs!
Martha have fun with the challenge. I love reading your posts and can’t wait to see what is going on with you and your family.
Hi Brenda, it seems like forever since I wrote a blog, nothing since January UBC! This challenge really gets me back on track. Hugs to you!
Martha- I hear ya I too have been off of my blogging game since January since I would literally start my day at midnight and go through until 7 pm non-stop with other stuff- my writing took a hiatus…ok, Martha if you were so knowledgable and wise, I would question this more but 74?… I don’t think so!! tell us your real age now- 45? maybe 55?….come on now! My pal LIA is always up to something great! Hopefully, with LIA’s dedication, there will be an end to Alzheimer’s soon! That actually scares me! With so many older people around me and in the past my former canine therapy dog who had Alzheimer’s patients at the local nursing home! If I can find a few dollars I will be making a donation to her fundraiser but I am between jobs!
So happy to see you back in the challenge Pamela! The last few months have been a blur and happy to be back to blogging. Lia has been busy baking and coming up with new idea for our annual community garage sale and her bake sale. Thank you so much for your donation to Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser! Alzheimer’s is a scare disease and hoping an end is near so Lia and her mommy will never have to worry about it! Blog on my friend!
Happy UBC Anniversary, Martha! Can’t wait to read about your big and small challenges, and of course following Lia’s contributions. They are always a treat, sometimes even literally. You know, sprinkles and all 🙂
Hi Tamera, so happy to see you back! I love your interesting stories about Starbucks!
Kudos on jumping in! I look forward to following what you and Lia are up to 🙂
Thanks Kelly, this challenge really get’s me going!
Congratulations on joining us once again, Martha, and welcome to the April 2023 Ultimate Blog Challenge! It’s wonderful to see you excited and eager to connect with fellow bloggers. It’s great that you’re finding inspiration from Lia – she is a very talented blogger – years beyond her youth 🙂
Thank you for being a part of this amazing challenge community, and best of luck on your blogging journey this month.
I haven’t written one blog since the January UBC ended and you don’t know how glad I was when it started in April. It’s just what I needed to get my writing juices going!
(((Martha))), so good to see you and Lia!!! Boy has she grown. You are one of the biggest reasons I come back to the challenges, because I love to connect with you. Looking forward to your posts as always.
Oh Jeanine, I’ve missed you and haven’t blogged since the January UBC. Yes, Lia is growing up so fast and she is so smart! I’m so happy to see you back at it and sending hugs and love.
