Answers to Got a Question

Last week I used the suggested topic for the November 22 Ultimate Blog Challenge. Today I’m sharing my answers to Got a Question for Us from some of my readers. Some questions were directed to me, others were directed to Lia. Today I’m sharing the questions and answers for those that pertain to me. I will share Lia’s answers tomorrow!

Here are some of the questions asked:

Roy – https://www.adjuvancy.com/ asked: How are you planning to spend Thanksgiving? How many family members? We had a quiet Thanksgiving, reflecting what we were all thankful for. Rich and I, Alexandra, Lia and a good friend of the family had dinner together. The dinner was a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and was delicious. Thanks for the question Roy!

Danwil – https://danwilreyes.medium.com/ asked: Nice! My question is…who is the one taking the shots that you post on your blog? That person is also doing a good job with your photos. Great question Danwil! Most all the photos are my blog are taken by me with my Google Pixel phone. Since Lia has been blogging with me, she will sometimes take her own photos with my phone. She loves focusing on a subject and moving the phone to get just the right shot! My granddaughter, Alexandra (Lia’s mom) has also taken a few I’ve posted but I mention credits when she does. Any photo with Lia and me are usually taken by Alexandra or my hubby. The one photo of Lia and me on my gravatar was taken at JC Penney shortly after Lia’s 3rd birthday this past August. I love taking pictures and can always look through the thousands I have taken and find some that work with what ever my blog topic is! Thanks for the question and compliment Danwil!

Jeanine – https://www.hallmarkchristmaslife.com You guys are so adorable! And how neat that we get to ask a question. My question is what can you do to reheat pizza so that it comes out perfect and doesn’t taste reheated? Awww, thanks Jeanine! As for reheating pizza, we usually don’t have much left over! LOL But if we do reheat it we have a few options. First is to just pop in the microwave for 15-20 seconds to just heat it up a bit. The other way is to reheat it in the toaster oven. This method makes the crust a bit more crunchy than the microwave. Of course then we have the third option, just eat it cold like Rich likes it! Thanks for the question, let me know how your pizza turns out reheated!

Tamara – https://thethreegerbers.blogspot.com/ You have been doing the UBC since 2016? That’s admirable.
My question for the two of you is “Could you be any cuter”? Love the picture in the kitchen. Do you have a favorite recipe you like to do together?
To Lia: It’s not a question. It’s a request: please keep smiling and spreading joy! You’re having such a positive impact on the people around you! Looking into your sparkling eyes makes me smile as well!
Tamara is question and request are awesome! Thanks for the great compliment Tamara! Lia and I love baking, cooking, crafting, you name it, together! We don’t have any favorite recipe, anything we bake is fun to do together. But I would have to say (and Lia agrees) that the chocolate chip cookies we bake are delicious! As for your request to Lia, she is such a joy and smiles and waves to everyone that passes by her. She is full of love, compassion and smiles and I can see her making a change in the world with all the joy she spreads to others. Thank you so much for the compliments and Lia and I are so glad she made you smile also!

I enjoyed reading all the questions from my readers, I hope you enjoy my answers to got a question! Lia and I will be posting part 2 with the questions that were asked to Lia! Stay tuned for that!

Looks like your projects, be it baking or taking photographs, are always a family matter 🙂
Chocolate Chip Cookies are always a great choice.

I am sorry I didn’t get to ask many questions. But how I’ve enjoyed reading what others are curious about from your blog.
As for the reheating pizza question—I discovered that reheating it in a cast iron skillet on the stove and covering it makes the pizza taste just like it did hot out of the oven. Put a little olive oil in first and enjoy.

  5. Thanks for answering my question, Martha! It was fun reading all the other questions and answers, too. I think the microwave time that seems to work best for 2 slices of pizza is just under two minutes. But I once found a way to heat them in the oven that worked, too. I just can’t remember how long and at what temperature. Hmm, now I want pizza!

That’s my problem Jeanine, when I’m heating something up I never time it, I just go with my gut. LOL But Debi gave me a great way to reheat pizza, this is her suggestion: “As for the reheating pizza question—I discovered that reheating it in a cast iron skillet on the stove and covering it makes the pizza taste just like it did hot out of the oven. Put a little olive oil in first and enjoy.” It sounds like a winner to me!
