Another Challenge Under our Belt

Lia and I just completed the A to Z Challenge where we focused our blogs on days of cooking, baking, sewing, crafts, gardening or whatever we do creative to get through the alphabet. It was a fun challenge to look come up with some of her creativity around the kitchen and more. We have another challenge under our belt!

As I started getting ready for our next challenge, the May Ultimate Blog Challenge I looked back at our previous challenges. I realized Lia and I have been doing challenges eleven months out of the last thirteen months! I think that’s a record since I started my blog in December 2014.

April 2020 was the Ultimate Blog Challenge, May with Song of the Day, June was Color of the Day and back to the Ultimate Blog Challenge again in July. For Song of the Day 25, the topic was to write about a song by an artist no longer with us and I wrote about Buddy Holly, singer/songwriter that left way too early. http://themarthareview.com/song-of-the-day-25/

In August 2020 we did the A to Z Food challenge and September was the first month of the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge which was hosted by Jeanine Byers and myself. This was the first blog challenge either of us had hosted and while it was a small group it was great fun!

October 2020 was another Ultimate Blog Challenge, I didn’t have a blog challenge for November but finished up the year with our second Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge in December.

Starting 2021 was a different challenge for me to participate in. I participated and completed the 5 Day De-Stress Your Mess Challenge! It was awesome going room by room with host Andrew Mellon showing us how to de-clutter and keep things organized. When the 5 days were over, I was still on a roll going room by room getting rid of things that I didn’t need, hadn’t used or didn’t want any more. We made LOTS of trips to the recycling center, dropped off useable items in the used clothing bins and Rich shredded a TON of papers. While I didn’t participating in a January blog challenge, the De-Stress your Mess Challenge was something to write about! One of the favorite rooms I de-cluttered was my office/computer room and turned it into Lia’s Princes Playroom! It was so much fun and what an adorable transformation! http://themarthareview.com/lias-princess-playroom/

But in February it was the first of the new year Ultimate Blog Challenge and March was another Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge. Since an A to Z poetry blog challenge was schedule for April Lia and I decided to come up our own blog challenge of A to Z Creative Blog Challenge and it was a big hit for us. One of the favorite blogs for both Lia and me in our A to Z Creative Blog Challenge was A to Z Sunshine and Smiles. Since Lia is always ready to share her smiles I thought there was nothing better to write about! http://themarthareview.com/a-to-z-sunshine-and-smiles/

That brings us to the May Ultimate Blog Challenge coming up next week! This has been an exciting year of blogs and we have another challenge under our belt with soon to be yet another!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

That is a record, Martha. I did and completed the April poetry challenge. One in a row is a good place to start.
