Annual Swagbucks Checkup
It’s time for my annual Swagbucks check-up and see how I did on my stats last year. Swagbucks is an online earning site where you earn points for watching videos, playing games, doing surveys, shopping, doing offers, searches, scanning receipts and other online activities. The points can then be redeemed for a variety of Gift Cards or PayPal. I’ve been using this site since 2011 and last year, along with my granddaughter, we figured how many points are needed to reach the 2,000,000 top goal.
The beginning of January 2023 I had 1,176,166 Swagbucks points. My goal is to try to reach the 2,000,000 goal by the time I’m 80 years old! I’ll be 75 in a few months so I have 5 years to go! Alex did some calculations and figured I would need about 400 points per day to reach this amount. This shows my daily points for yesterday, way over my daily goal calculated.
The beginning of January 2024 my total was 1,372,802! I made 195,915 points in a year which averages 16,326 per month and 544 for my daily total. This screen shot was taken last night and I have another 10,000 plus points!
My total points I need as of last night was 627,198 and I have 5 years left! That figures to be 125,439 for each year. My brain is spinning but if I made over 195,000 last year, surely I should be able to reach my goal.
Then I calculated the amount of points needed to reach my goal in 4 years, I still need less than what I did last year, I’d only need 156,799. I may be able to complete this challenge by the time I’m 79 years old if I last that long! LOL
I keep daily, weekly and monthly totals on my calendar. I get this from my grandfather who was always totaling numbers, he would track football and baseball games plus wrestling and boxing matches in a notebook for as long as I can remember.
I’ll do another check-up mid year in July to see what my stats look like and I’m hoping I will be at least where I was last year.
Why am I doing this? It’s something in my that drives me reach goals through challenges. LOL Kind of like the Ultimate Blog Challenge and my re-organizing, I give myself a goal and turn everything into a challenge to complete a project.
Swagbucks is fun and it gives me something to do while watching TV since I can’t just sit still. Oh and the other reason are the Gift Cards, I’ve cashed an average of $1000 – $2000 each year, not bad for spending an hour or two in my spare time.

I didn’t read it, but I saw there’s a recommended post called “Iām Retiring from Swagbucks” from 2020. Looks like you were kidding š
Hey, if you’re having fun, go for it!
LOL that was my plan Tamara. I “retired” and did it now and then. After I checked my points and saw how close I was to 2M, I got out of retirement mode and full steam ahead! LOL
I’m so happy for you. I use Swagbucks too. I don’t have a lot of points but I work on it daily.
Little by little the points add up Amanda!
Martha, wow! We’ve talked about Swagbucks before, but now I see it in so much more detail. I love that you are having so much fun with it! Keep it up and you will definitely meet your goal!
I’m trying to stay on track Kebba! I’m not a gamer but there are some that I can figure out. But if I run into a snag, I just ask Lia how to play! LOL
Sounds like it’s worth a couple hours of your time to get the goods. I hope you hit 2,000,000 before you turn 80.
Yes and I usually multi task on the computer or when I’m watching TV Karen.
I just joined and I’ve been trying to figure it out but all I know how to do is the surveys because the games need to be added to a phone to be played I believe and at the moment Charlie is the only one with a phone and I don’t want to download things to his phone because his grandmother pays his bill. It looks like I need to spend sometime researching the site which I have enough not to get a gift card but I’m going to save turn then in in Nove for Christmas Shopping. f you have any hints for me I would love having the help because C and I need it.
If C has unlimited data, it would affect the price. There are lots of games that you can earn 4,000 points or more. That’s $40 in gift cards or paypal Glenda! It’s fun and you can earn good $$.
Did I miss national Waffle Day? I love the spirit with which you approach a challenge! But I hope there is a big reward for the Swagbucks thing. It seems like a lot of work during a time when you have earned pampering and fun.
I’ve been doing Swagbucks steady since 2012 and have earned over 1,400,000 points that are converted to gift cards or paypal. That figures out to be $10.000 per year! To me it’s worth and plus it’s a great challenge for me!
Interesting Martha – It never dawned on me that I could make money doing reviews on products. Well really it did. but it seems like a lot of time. And although i love the playing “ole king cole” and counting, it never happened. You’ve got me thinking. Thanks
There are so many earning sites our there Linda but some come and go. Swags has been are since I think 2008 so hopefully they will stay until I reach my goal!
Interesting!! You are a success!!
I hope I can make it Kate. I sure love a challenge.
