All that Data
We are getting near the end of the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge, only 9 days left! Today’s prompt is something that shares data and wait until you see the graphs that share all that data from my blog site. What is DATA? …. It is facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.
Since today is something that shares data and I like to track my blog stats, I thought it would be interesting to look back and see how they have grown. This first chart is from the first half of January 2016, the first month I participated in the Ultimate Blog Challenge.
This chart is from January 2018 and even without the numbers posted, you can see how the post views have climbed on the graph since 2016.
March 2019 April 2019
March and the first half of April 2019 were fairly steady but this is where you can see the number of views.
June 2020
From April 2019 to June 2020 my views jumped over 50,000. This was when my stats became interesting.
July 2020
The Ultimate Blog Challenge for July 2020 saw an even higher increase in my stats. I had over 9,000 views for this month. This major jump is because of all my viewers leaving comments, sharing on other social media sites and then other readers see it and pass it on even more.
September 2020
Since April 2020 I will have completed six blog challenges in a row. April was Ultimate Blog Challenge, May was Song of the Day, June was Color of the Day, July was Ultimate Blog Challenge month again, August was A to Z Food Challenge and now I am into September with the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge. This was a blog challenge that was thought up and hosted by Jeanine Byers and myself! This has been fun and I must say very challenging on some of the prompts! We only have 9 more days until this month is completed for my 6th challenge in a row. The October Ultimate Blog Challenge will begin next and after I complete this one I will have completed SEVEN challenges in a row! The more you write, the more people see it and share it and the higher your stats are! Have you checked your blog to see all that data?
I’ve formed the habit of checking (almost) every time I log into the Blogspot. Curiously, at Live Journal I don’t feel a craving to see… Does your blog break down page views by countries?
When I go into my hosting site it breaks it down Priscilla. The majority of the views are from US.
I am SO excited for you, Martha!! And I am so glad we jumped in to do this challenge! I think it has improved my writing. And I want to do more in the future, but probably nowhere near 7 in a row. Hope my stats grow anyway.
This challenge has been so exciting Jeanine and our group of participants are awesome! I will be doing the October UBC then taking November off from challenges so I can be ready to jump back in the CCBC in December! We’ll get working on ideas for that between October and November!
