All Kinds of Craft Items

Do I have an exciting Friday Story Time by Lia blog today! My neighbor has been cleaning out her closets and the other day she surprised me with four big bags full of all kinds of craft items! I was so excited as I started looking through the bags.

There were so many beads and shiny sequins plus lots of glittery thread and cord for making jewelry! There were kits to make Christmas ornaments and little stuffed animals and even a beautiful silver angel! I haven’t even sorted everything out yet, I’ll be going through them bag by bag!

One bag had all kinds of little Christmas ornaments and lots of string beads and sequins. Since Monday was Christmas in July I decorated my little felt Christmas tree! I love the shiny silver butterfly on the top of the tree.

I even found some pipecleaners and made Ma a star ornament. I have a year round tree in my Princess room that I add different decorations to so the star looked pretty on it.

This little bear was in the bag and it was on a stick so I decided to put it in one of our gardens next top my butterfly painting. I put him under the bush so he wouldn’t get hot from the sun. Isn’t he cute?

The sequins and glitter were my favorite! I love drawing and when I saw all the sequins and glitter I decided to draw Patrick Star and decorate him! I used some of the sparkly ribbon for his eyes and mouth then glued on a little piece of ribbon for the water!

I had so much fun drawing and decorating Patrick I decided to make his friend SpongeBob. After I sketched Spongebob I started adding the sequins. I haven’t finished him yet, I’m going to paint his body yellow because he’s a sponge!

My friend Carolyn knows I love to make things and I was so surprised when she brought all the cool things over. It will take me some time to sort them out but it will be so much fun! Thank you Carolyn for all the craft supplies!

This is the last Friday of the July Ultimate Blog Challenge and I’ve had another fun month of writing blogs for the challenge. We are still in Schenectady, New York until next Monday and having so much fun!

Yesterday we went to Howe Caverns, way underground where it was 52 degrees! I even found another hiking stick for my collection. I’ll be sharing all my fun time at Howe Caverns soon! Tomorrow I’m going to visit Ma’s sister Anne for the first time! I’m so excited! I’ll be back next week for another exciting Friday Story Time by Lia!

Carolyn definitely gave her crafts supplies to the right person! Look at you getting all creative! Glitter is like sprinkles, except you can’t eat it, right?

The cavern looks interesting. Good thing you had a sweater! I wouldn’t mind 52° – this sweltering heat around here is nothing for me.

    Happy Friday!
