Air Fried Salmon

I am having so much fun preparing delicious meals with my new GoWise Air Fryer! I love salmon and thought it was good when I pan fry it with butter but my air fried salmon was better than good, it was great!!

Salmon is one of my favorite meals plus it’s healthy! I usually purchase wild caught Alaskan Sockeye salmon but it’s only available for a limited time. They other day I saw wild caught salmon on sale for $4.99 per pound and I knew it wasn’t Alaskan Sockeye but I went to check it out. It was actually wild caught from Chili but for $4.99 I decided to give it a try.

While it wasn’t the nice deep pink like the Sockeye, I know I had to give it a chance so this is how I prepared the salmon. I had one serving of salmon filet and made a butter marinade of: 2 tablespoons of melted butter, sprinkled in some black pepper with garlic seasoning mix, added a few shakes of chopped parsley and a tablespoon of lemon juice. I dipped the salmon in the marinade then turned to coat the other side. A cooking rack came with my Air Fryer so I put the salmon on that and drizzled some of the extra marinade over top of the filet.

I cooked it at 350 degrees for 6 minutes, turned the filet over, drizzled it with the left over marinade and continued to cook it for another 5 minutes.

I was amazed at how juicy and flaky the salmon filet was! As I mentioned, it wasn’t a pretty pink but it sure was high on flavor.

To complete my meal, I cooked up some riced cauliflower that I had prepared from fresh cauliflower and had in my freezer for meals like this. It’s delicious and easy to cook with just a small amount of butter in a fry pan and saute until browned.

Steam up some broccoli to add color and more ‘deliciousness’ to a healthy dinner.

Tender, flaky, flavorful, healthy and delicious is what I call this air fried salmon dinner. I’m loving my Air Fryer for sure!

This is my recipe for delicious air fried pork chops I made a few weeks ago. These were the juiciest pork chops I’ve ever made! http://themarthareview.com/mouth-watering-pork-chops/

Great – I have an hour until lunch and now I am hungry!

As I stated before, I am skeptical about air-fryers…. you are convincing me that I need to get one!

    Thanks!

I was skeptical at first also Paul, I always heard people talk about air fryer chicken and fries. I never realized how much more it could do! The food is amazing and the flavor is locked in. If you get one, let me know your thoughts!

I love salmon, and with me living on the pacific northwest, I get the freshest salmon in the world I think. I will have to try this recipe, and find out if this is my new way of cooking salmon.

OMG Trent, I would be in heaven if I lived where you do! I’m always looking for new salmon recipes so would love if you send some over. Maybe you should write a blog about super fresh salmono!

Sounds delicious…I have an air fryer I haven’t used yet. This gives me inspiration.

Well Karen, here’s your first recipe to try! I was a bit aprehensive at first but I love how the food taste! Let me know when you start using yours.

  5. Never used an air fryer, but most of the time my salmon is cooked by baking. Accompanied by rice (Jasmine), broccoli or cauliflower, and sweet potatoes. YUM!

    • Martha says:

I add rice to many of my meals but usually brown rice, haven’t tried Jasmine, maybe I should. Yes broccoli and cauliflower are always on the menu!

I love my air Fryer. I use it almost every day. One of my favorite meals to fix in it is salmon also. I may have to try your recipe. Looks good!

I wonder if this could have been keta salmon – very pale in color, low in fat. This would be a great Weight Watchers recipe except I would have to reduce (drastically) the amount of butter or oil used. I’ve never used an air fryer so don’t know anything about if that would be possible. I love salmon.

    • Martha says:

Not sure what kind it was Alana other than delicious! I’m a butter lover but it could easily be changed to “it’s not butter” or any other oil used in your Keto plan. Actually you probably don’t need either, they air fryer seems to keep the natural juices in. I have a Keton cookbook, I’m goint to expeirement with other recipes and let you know!

  8. Ahhh! You are so awesome! I just bought a bag of Salmon for part of my diet and had no idea how to cook it, as I have never tried it before. I’ve been looking up various ways online. This sounds so yummy! I think I’m going to invest in an air fryer now 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing.
