A to Z Food Challenge – F

We’re climbing up the food chain with the A to Z Food Challenge – F. The first food that came to me was Figs but I don’t have a picture of them or even fig newtons. Strange I don’t like to eat a Fig but I love fig newtons.

So what other foods start with the letter F? How about French Fries! Since I’ve had my air fryer I like to cook my fries in that, they cook quicker and they aren’t greasy. A few minutes before they are done cooking I sprinkle them with shredded cheese and it melts over the French Fries.

To go with the fries we can add a Frankfurter. The German Frankfurter was originally sausage but in the United States, hot dogs tend to be all beef or a mixture of meat trimmings from beef and/or pork. Some alternative names for a Frankfurter are frank, wiener, weenie, tube steak, hotdog and sausage.

For a snack we can add Freezie Fruit pops that come in a variety of fruit flavors. Lia loves Fruit Freezer pops.

So there you have a quick meal from the A to Z Food Challenge – F plus a snack or dessert!

Yummy. French Fries and a Chili Cheese Dog sound yummy… I thought of a
Fruit Pizza or a Fruit Kabob. Charlie and Lia could make for us..

  2. I would have gone with focacia or filet of steak!

  3. Those are some great letter “F” ideas. And I love all the things your air fryer can do. Those fries look delish! I sure would love it if I could have some right about now. With a hot dog! 🙂

It does take me back to an earlier time in my life. I am not much for the standard hot dog but a good Chicago dog is worth driving a couple of miles for. I like the idea of how you make cheese fries. I don’t have an air cooker but I do have a confection oven so maybe I will give it a try.
