A to Z Butterflies
It’s day 2 of our A to Z Challenge for April. Lia and I decided to do an alphabet challenge and our blogs will be focused on #aDayInLiasShoes where the blogs will be about what her and I cook, bake, create, or whatever! I hope you enjoy today’s A to Z Butterflies and it’s also Friday Story Time by Lia!
Hi I’m Lia and I love butterflies! Every morning pop and I go outside to check the gardens and as soon as the sun comes out, I love seeing the butterflies.
Ma was so excited when she took these pictures of a butterfly and was even more excited to get a video of the butterfly in her mommy’s memory garden.
Last year a special Facebook friend sent me a butterfly house so I could raise and release butterflies. I watched the little caterpillars turn into beautiful Painted Lady butteries.
When I released them in my garden a few would fly back to me and then go sit on the flowers. It was exciting to watch them flutter around, land of the flowers and then fly around the yard. I’m already planning on getting another batch to raise and release as soon as the weather gets warmer. This is my blog about The Life of Lia’s Butterflies.
I can’t wait to start a new life watching the butterflies grow and release them into my garden once again this year. Thanks for stopping by today, ma and I hope you enjoyed our A to Z Butterflies blog! Come by tomorrow to see what the letter C will be about!
I love butterflies, too. Last years was the first time I had seen any butterflies in years. I felt like a little kid, again. My dog, Bella, barked at them. The butterflies did not seem to mind, though.
Lia’s excited to watch cattepillars turn into butterflies again Brenda. We’ve seen quite a few yellow butterflies around lately!
I recall reading about that butterfly post Lia and so wonderful to read today’s story too.. love all the pics shared today
Some of our A to Z Challenge will be reminiscing on Lia’s past posts Vidya. Lia and I are having fun with our made up challenge! LOL
So cute! I would not have had the patience to hold a butterfly in my hand at that age. Painted Ladies are another of the butterfly species that really depend on “weeds”…
When Lia’s mommy was about 5 years old, she raised and released Painted Ladies also Priscilla. They kept flying back to her, I have to find the pictures from 20 years ago!
I love butterflies. 🙂
Lia is going to raise and release butterflies again this year Amanda. She enjoys watching them so much!
