A Recap of How I’m Doing
WOW we are starting week 3 of the April Ultimate Blog Challenge! A recap of how I’m doing…..
Week 1 of my mini blog series was CHALLENGES. I need to have goals to get things completed and when I turn my goals in a challenge it’s even more fun. Challenges don’t have to be complicated, set time limits on small projects and they seem to be more doable. My biggest challenge this week will be setting up for our community annual garage sale and Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser. Garage sales are a great way to weed out unneeded “stuff” and also helps with your re-organizing and de-clutter. So for me, they are a win-win plus all proceeds for both the garage sale and bake sale are donated to Alzheimer’s. How much better can that be!
Week 2 my mini blog was about food! I shared recipes, cooking tips and Lia even wrote about her new talent of cake decorating. This will be a super busy week for Lia as she prepares all her baked goods for the bake sale. We have collected a few new and exciting recipes plus we may even have time to add doggy treats to the sale!
Week 3 I will be concentrating on more tips and tricks on storage, plus my ongoing reorganizing and decluttering projects. They seem to never end! But this year I have shown so much progress in getting rid of things. I’m feeling great about reducing the clutter!
Do you know what I’m doing today? NOT MUCH OF ANYTHING! Today Rich and I will be relaxing a bit since I’m exhausted from watching Rich paint the outside section of our 60 foot with a paint brush! With his RA he has to take it a bit easy but he hasn’t realized that yet! LOL We put the fence up shortly after we purchased our house back in 1999 and was ready to be refreshed. I love how the new cedar stain compliments the gray siding. But tomorrow we will be in full gear continuing getting the garage sale set up!
So I’m taking Snowball’s advice and just doing anything much today. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday and has a fabulous next week!
Lia and the dog are both looking so cute and adorable! I hope Lia sells a lot of her baked goods for the garage sale. 🙂
Sounds like you’ve busy & having lots of fun!
You guys certainly deserve a day off, look at what you’ve accomplished during these two weeks!
No doubt you’ll do great with your garage sale. I would have a thing or 371026 to get rid off as well 😉
It’s good to take a day to relax. I know you mentioned on my blog that it was a challenge to slow down 🙂 Just enjoy your day!
I am having a great self-care Sunday, so far! I’ve already watched a great movie and I’ve got reading on the agenda. And I hope you have a wonderful week, too. I’ve been enjoying your posts and will look forward to the ones to come.
Well, you have been very busy and need a nice relaxing day. I hope enjoy your day with Snowball.
I stay busy Brenda! LOL
I am going to have to get up to all your posts (the ones i missed) in May and read them all.. but for now, hopefully will get to at least a third of them as i watch you and Lia perform miracles!
Thanks Vidya, I’m so far behind in replying to comments!
