It’s Saturday and Lia’s stealing the show today! The suggested topic for the Ultimate Blog Challenge is to chat with friends over coffee but since I’m too little for coffee, we’ll have some juice while I talk about a day in Lia’s Shoes.

First things first, come sit with me and enjoy my garden while I tell you a little about me. I will be three years old on August 23rd and cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, painting, hiking and sharing my smiles are the most fun.

When ma and I have baking days I grab my apron and we have a fun time. It might be cookies or zucchini bread, maybe fudge or cake but it’s all fun on baking day. When I’m baking I’m also learning how to measure, crack eggs and be careful of the hot oven! Of course after I get done baking I clean up the kitchen.

One of my favorite recipes is lemon zucchini bread, I even picked the zucchini from our garden. I’ve made a few with different recipes but this one is my favorite! Zucchini bread is great for breakfast or a snack, warm from the oven with butter! http://themarthareview.com/lias-lemon-zucchini-bread/

I love gardening both flowers and vegetables. Just about a year ago my Pop surprised me and cleared out a corner in the yard to make me a garden! It was a together project and I had so much fun helping him from start to finish.

Pop and I repainted an old bench we saved from the recycling center and added stepping stones around the edge of my garden. This year we’ve added a few more flowers and my yellow rose is beautiful!

Painting is my passion and when I have my canvas in front of me I paint whatever comes to mind. I like my paintings to be colorful because I want to being sunshine and smiles to those who receive them.

You could say I get lots of exercise when we go hiking. Mommy, pop, ma and me love to hike in the mountains but when we can’t get there we go to a beautiful park along the Intercoastal waterway or stroll along the ocean shore to watch the sunset.

Of course sewing is something I love too. Ma is teaching me to sew and I’ve made a few pillows with her help. I even helped make my friend Carlos his Mickey Mouse blanket for his birthday! Along with sewing comes safety, I have to be careful with the pins and especially with the scissors. I’m so excited when we finish a sewing project.

I love butterflies, unicorns and owls! Watching the birds and butterflies and now the ladybugs are fun! I’m learning the different kinds of birds that come in our yard. If I see one I don’t know we pull out the bird book and look it up. I know the Cardinal, Robin, Mockingbird, Dove, Bluebird and just learned the Grackle is the brown bird that I see in the bird feeder. This is my story about The Life of Lia’s Butterflies that I raised and released last summer.

But my favorite of all is sharing my smile with everyone I see. I found if someone doesn’t look happy all I have to do is wave and smile and they smile back. A special Facebook friend and blogger calls me her little Sunshine. So if you need a smile to cheer you up, I have one for you.

I hope once you catch my smile you will pass it on to someone else that may need it.

Oh my look what time it is, it’s time for me to help pop water our flowers and check the vegetables!

I hope you enjoyed sitting with me with pretend tea and hearing a little about a Day in Lia’s Shoes! Tell me something fun about you now!

I don’t know why I thought she was a little older than that! Something fun about me? I love to read. When I was a child, I used to read the packaging of everything that was on the table when I ate breakfast — cereal boxes, milk cartons, anything! I was already a slow eater so reading everything made me even slower!

My parents had to clear the table whenever I ate.! LOL

    Have a lovely day, Lia!

Most think she is older, she is tall and so intelligent, loves learning new things constantly. OMG I read the packaging also and now I’m back at it since I’ve been on my healthy eating plan! Thanks for visiting Dominique.

Martha, Lia’s explorations and hobby creations are really enjoyable to watch. It is inspiring. Currently, my main hobby is playing the guitar, as I enjoy learning songs that I grew up with. It lifts my spirit. And seeing Lia try new things is motivating me to get out there and do more. Perhaps next, I will dust of my camera and work on my photography skills. Best wishes.

My hubby plays guitar also but needs to dust his off too. Lia’s mommy has a child sized guitar we got her when she was Lia’s age and Lia has a child sized ukulele. When Lia gets a bit older we well get a keyboard since everyone loves that. Dust off you guitar and camera, I’d love to see a video blog of you playing Marc.
