58 Years and Counting Happy Anniversary My Love

We weren’t perfect but with our 59 years of love we were perfect for each other.

First it’s hard to believe that this is the second year without Rich being with me for our anniversary but I know he is watching over and guiding his family and loved ones. How I remember our wedding day, my dad opened the car door and took my hand. I was 18 years old and Rich was 20, soon to be 21 two days after our marriage and all this started on a blind date on Christmas day 1965 when I was 16. Ten years ago a wrote a story about our True Love is Forever Strong and I love reading it every year.

July 29, 2017 we celebrated out 50th anniversary in the same church we were married in at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Schenectady New York. I carried my dad’s old bible that he kept with him during World War 2, a new shiny penny, I borrowed my mom’s handkerchief and blue rosary beads. I will cherish all the wonderful times we had until we meet again.

I spent the weekend in Cherokee where Rich and I always go for our anniversary. I visited Bridal Veil Falls on the way up and dropped some roses in the river where we would always sit along the bank watching the peaceful water. This time I sat and talked to Rich and seeing all the butterflies fluttering by, I know he was with me in spirit.

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life. As you’re watching down from up above, I’m sending up all my love. You are on my mind everyday and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So many memories to hold on to until we meet again. I love you Babe.
