2025 Ultimate Blog Challenge Begins
Four times a year in January, April, July and October bloggers join in on this exciting challenge to write a blog each day of the challenge months. Thank you Paul T. for all you do to keep this challenge so interesting, challenge a going. To help out even more Paul sends a daily blog topic you can write about!
I like to reconnecting with my “old” blogger friends from this challenge and excited to meet new ones that are just joining in. The goal of this challenge is to write a blog everyday but if you miss a day don’t worry, just do the best you can. Also blogs don’t have to be long, some times a short blog gets the point across as much as a novel length. When you visit, follow, comment and like, you get more bloggers doing the same for you and that will increase your stats!
I don’t remember how I stumbled across the Ultimate Blog Challenge back in 2016 but I’m so glad I did. I’ve been participating in the UBC since January 2016 and have completed every challenge since then. This will be my 37th consecutive UBC and will be another month of fun and memories.
Back in 2021 my 3 year old great-granddaughter Lia had taken over my blog with her Friday Story Time by Lia blogs where she shares her stories about her happenings of the week under A Day in Lia’s Shoes category.
I would update our gravatar as Lia got older. These are the ones from 2021, 2022 and 2023. My readers love to see the changes in Lia and in her blogs.
Lia turned 6 years old this past August and she is so growing up so fast now. She lost one front tooth the end of May and the other during the summer.
It was time to make a new gravatar. It took forever for her front teeth to come in but they made it before Christmas and this is our latest gravatar from November 2024.
I’m hoping everyone has a Happy and Healthy New Year and you all enjoy the 2025 January Ultimate Blog Challenge. I always like to share a poem I wrote years back. Now let’s get busy and BLOG ON!
Dearest Martha, I wish you are your family all the best in the New Year.
Thank you Brenda, and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family for a wonderful New Year.
Happy new year, dear Martha! 🎉🍀💖🥂🍾
I immediately noticed that Lia’s Christmas Wish came true, she’s the proud owner of brand-new front teeth!
Looking forward to reading about you ladies’ adventure this month!
I had to look up how I got into UBC. My first participation was in November 2021, and it was a blogging buddy from the A- Z challenge who mentioned it.
Yes Lia’s Christmas wish came true Tamara! LOL I’m so glad your blogging buddy got you into the UBC!
How amazing. You’ve been doing it for so long. I love this!
Thanks Faith! I like to set goals and my long term UBC goal is to get to 50 blogs by the time I’m 80 years old. I figure I should make that goal by my 79th birthday if I can keep my record going. Only 4 more years to go!
Your dedication to the Ultimate Blog Challenge since 2016 is beyond inspiring! Wishing you another fun-filled month of blogging and beautiful memories in 2025. BLOG ON indeed!
Thanks Jasmine, I’m trying my best and I know Rich is looking down pushing me to keep going. He was my inspiration for blogging.
So good to see you again, Martha! And Lia, too. Happy New Year!
And you too Jeanine! Been many years and we just keep going like the energizer bunny!
Nice to see you again! I don’t remember when I started. I know I haven’t been consistent, but I do remember you! Here I am again. I’m going to try again and let’s see where it takes me. Happy New Year! I’m pushing boundaries this year.
So happy to see you back again Lokilani. Just do what you can and if you miss a day or two just start where your left off. You’ll make it!
Hi Martha! Lia is such a beautiful girl! She looks happy and confident and I am looking forward to the posts coming from both of you!
Thanks Alice, I love her so much and she has been a big part of holding me together this past year. Looking forward to reading your blogs.
Martha, what a ride 2024 was! I am so glad you can celebrate points of joy despite the devastation of losing your incredible husband.
It was more like a train wreck Kebba but my daughter and granddaughter were always there to pick me up. So many times Chris would pop in from Virginia just to see how I was doing, she lit a spark in me every time. I have always said we take care of our children when they are growing up and then the role reverses when our parents age. I never realized how true that was until last year. My daughter is now my “mother”
I can’t wait to see what you write about next!
At this point, I’m taking it a day at a time, I have nothing planned ahead so it should be interesting Amanda!
Greetings from Down Under – Australia. We’ve done Day One of the UBC. Well done. I will follow you.
We have to start somewhere Dianna, and day one is now over and on to day too. Happy to meet you!
Welcome back to you and Lia, I know this year is going to be different without Rich but I hope its everything you want and so much more.
Thanks Glenda and Happy New Year to you and your family. I will get through the days because I know Rich is watching over me. We will be together and continue our love live when it’s my time.
